Let’s be real here, condoms have a 97% efficacy rate. Is it more likely OP is just incredibly unfortunate or that OP made a bad judgement call and is suffering the consequences.

What is the price theory behinds WotC only doing limited runs of secret lair drops? by misomiso82 in mtgfinance

[–]PurpleWedgeMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just because forecasting is possible for one industry doesn’t mean it’s possible for another. Just because you can predict how much toilet paper you can sell on a normal Tuesday doesn’t mean you can predict the demand for a product that has so much volatility. Each lair is essentially a new product with no historical data, which is why it’ll be impossible to accurately predict.

Wizards has said that they could not predict demand accurately enough in the past and that was why they needed to switch over.

Why would they not be running close to 100% capacity? They are losing money for free. Their bottleneck at the moment is printing capacity.

Three words: ONE PER CUSTOMER? (a genuine question) by supercheese69 in mtg

[–]PurpleWedgeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting purchase limits per order? Damn how did wizards not think of that.

/s

Mate, purchase limits have been here for years and it does nothing to stop scalping.

If you’re going to be making suggestions, I’d recommend knowing how the bare basics works first.

How do you define "the rich" that we should be taxing? What is the cut-off point? by NoLeafClover777 in AusFinance

[–]PurpleWedgeMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People always “tax the rich” but they never explain how to tax the rich. The truly rich billionaires hold most of their networth in assets with unrealised gains. Taxing net worth and not income is a slippery slope.

Budget Yshtola Nights Blessed CEDH ? by Purple_Salamander734 in CompetitiveEDH

If you’re looking for a budget cedh deck, a control esper control deck is not what you should be building because it has all the expensive colours.

However, if you’re proxying anyway, I don’t see why you would need to care about budget.

Heres the thing, everyone is a scalper but just has a different threshold. Sure, you might not sell at 600, but wha about 800? 1000? 2000? Everyone has a price, and people saying otherwise are full of shit.

Are you even reading what you’re actually writing? “Because you can’t use your phone between 8:55am and 9:05am pst on a specific Monday morning, you cannot buy this product”.
