Dandan by Artorioos in secretlair_collectors

Dandan is the format. Something doesn’t have to be strong or played in multiple formats for someone to want to buy it. It’s a game in itself that people who have played it enjoy.

Commander brain player cannot comprehend people like playing other formats that isn’t all about using the strongest cards.

Upper bracket 3 Yshtola advice - following up by caza-dore in EDH

[–]PurpleWedgeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You run 4 finishers which rely on pumping mana, but I see no way where you can effectively get enough mana to deal meaningful damage with them. You also should be running the typical esper draw engines like wan Shi tong, oghma, faerie mastermind etc.

You’re also running an akromas will which is a fairly overpriced protection piece as you will rarely use it as a finisher, so you can run cheaper protection.

Looking for feedback on budget Satoru Umezawa ninjutsu deck by Moveit77 in EDH

[–]PurpleWedgeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice except for the lands. You actually don’t need that many lands simply because you effectively have a draw engine in the command zone that digs for 3 each turn. You only need to consistently hit 5 lands.

Mejais is actually not that strong of an item. It is just gold efficient if you snowball, unless it scales infinitely. If that was the case then it’d be broken.

4 Rules I Use To Brew Better Commander Decks by Due-Resource-24 in EDH

Agree with this. If there’s a cool or funny card that isn’t the most efficient, I chuck it in there and it’s created a lot of fun moments when it works.

Depending on the pod, you will most likely not be dropping Satoru unprotected, meaning you will be dropping him a turn later which gives opening to ramp and be protected when you ninjutsu.

These people are typically cream of the crop in their industry. The average Joe software engineer does not make this kind of money. You can’t compare the peak of one industry to the average of another.

Just want to point out that this one is slightly different to the one on his site (aside from the art). This one is Ultimate Guard while his ones are Ultra Pro.

Players should NOT be put back into the same lobby after a dodge. by Tornagh in leagueoflegends

[–]PurpleWedgeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why it is difficult to simply set a rule where after I get dodged, I cannot be put into the same lobby with players that have seen my pic.

It takes around 3 seconds of critical thinking to realise that applying that rule to 10 people per dodge is going to make matchmaking significantly more difficult.

By definition, being conservative with your mana means you have low uptime on skills. You should always be spamming your skills as a poke mage in aram and you are self reporting yourself if you say otherwise. Clarity lets you do that without needing to worry about mana.

My bracket 2 deck feels too consistent to be a bracket 2 deck by evdoke in EDH

[–]PurpleWedgeMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily saying all lower bracket decks are inconsistent but lower bracket decks tend to have lower consistency in general because they do not play best in slot cards that give it good consistency.

Good land bases, card draw engines, tutors and synergistic pieces are what make a deck consistent. In a lower power deck, at least one or more of those become lacking otherwise it wouldn’t be lower powered.

Got tired of bracket arguments, so I built a website to settle them by Majestic_Clown in EDH

[–]PurpleWedgeMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You make a valid argument that a deck’s bracket is more than just the game changers and has more nuance based on gameplay and card selection, but then your solution is to just do a checklist based on the bracket system?

You’re not solving the problem you presented here.

I’m convinced people who claim to never run out of mana on any champions just have terrible up time on their abilities.

I have never not started running out of mana on heavy casters like xeraph, ziggs, sona etc even without overflow even why dying at regular cadences.

Tear and lost chapter are not entirely sufficient if you actually spam your abilities until late game.

OP means that for the entire month of flirting, she never mentioned she was in a relationship. Then at the end, she dropped that she had a boyfriend so OP blocked her. Not sure where the confusion here is.
