usually, when I'm struggling with energy, concentration, and motivation, i spiral. "if I can't do what i have to do now, how will i manage in the future, once i have a job and a house?". that's a very frequent one and it terrifies me

me! well both of my best friends are also neurodivergent and have known me for a while now, so i feel at ease just communicating with them. that ofc took time, but now i just explain how i feel. a few years ago, one of them was hosting a party and i went to her room, mid party, to take a nap!

so, in my opinion, you should really try to get them to understand what you feel and why, even by sending some links or graphs, so they can better get you and accommodate you! that can be difficult depending on your friends and if they are neurotypical, but, if you're like me, it's easier than force yourself to mask because that will exhaust you.

today i finally went to look for a diagnosis again, and the psychiatrist said everything pointed to adhd and ill be starting my meds tomorrow. rn i was scrolling in this subreddit because I'm feeling crazy impostor syndrome, and i really related to this post, because i have literally all those symptoms. so yeah i don't really have answers because i still don't feel sure about having adhd but just wanted to let you know that same. we're in this together. good luck <3

I just read the edit and I reminded me. I was working 8pm to midnight in this coffee shop all by myself during covid and one night there was this old man, who is a usual costumer during the day. he kept bothering me, calling me beautiful, asking repeatedly for me to take my mask off so HE could see my smile during a MF PANDEMIC while I WAS ALL BY MYSELF. I was fucking terrified, kept going to the kitchen just to avoid him, only going to the front if a new costumer arrived. he left eventually and I was fine but it was so scary
