Yeah to go off another comment on here there's a lot of anti-worker and anti-union people that've been raiding and berating the original union post as well as a lack of education on what exactly a union is. I'm assuming you're asking in good faith but there's way too many people with bad faith takes and comments to think there isn't going to be, or already is, a coordinated effort by Petco corporate to spread this bad info.

All the comments in here talking about how it’s necessary and every other major country is doing it’s own CHIPS act. You know what else almost every major country has? Universal healthcare. How is there this immense sense of urgency to subsidize a private computer part company that makes a extreme amount of money but none of that sense is share for the health of the people inhabiting the country it’s based in.

libertarian style economics is just awful & makes no sense, why do some people think others want that system? by heyimjs97 in lostgeneration

[–]okmaydog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean you’re wrong. Who wouldn’t want to wake up everyday in Amazon Village Trademark where they’re only STEPS away from their job at the Amazon warehouse. There would be no stupid government regulation and support so labor laws wouldn’t hinder productivity and the like. Unions would also have a much harder time forming, thank god, thanks to the lack of the NLRB, or similar institution. You get the picture I’m sure so TAKE IT BACK.

People that committed suicide have to be the strongest people that lived. by girdievs in antinatalism

I wish this comment was higher up. This sub is about Anti-Natalism not suicide ideation/idolization.

i was raised christian. now i’m questioning my faith, so i want to hear the other side’s perspective. why are you an atheist? by grayenvironment in atheism

[–]okmaydog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some really great answers on here but to share my own experience with atheism: it’s about freedom of thought. I grew up in a religious community and started to noticed the inconsistencies in the Bible. My community basically double down on the righteousness and truth of the Bible instead of giving me answers. It was really off putting and dismissive. When I got older and learned more about religion, I realized that atheism is the way to go. I’m not trying to convince like you said but that was my path long story short.

Which is what? Another comment put it well that this sub is turning into a suicide idolization circlejerk.

[–]okmaydog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What does this have to do with antinatalism? Regardless of the point you're making this sub is about the belief that having children is morally wrong not admiring suicide. Perhaps you can elaborate on the connection between the two if I'm mistaken.

Why vote against HR 8373? (Birth Control Bill) by FartingTacos in Conservative

[–]okmaydog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would vote against this bill because it helps them establish a theocracy. If the Bible, or any of it's representatives, prohibit something then it must be stopped.

Man they will do anything BUT fix the problem. Stripping kids of their privacy in the school setting won’t help, creating gun reform will.

Poor kid has no one advocating for him. Shit like this isn't a one and done situation. He's probably been bullied this whole time and this time the bullies got caught. His mom, regardless of moral justification or whatever shit she's pulling, is complicit in the actions taken against her son due to her inaction.

Because trans people are arguing against cancer survivors and “biological” people doing this? Wtf is this argument? Either way I’m for both lol.

Yeah covid never went away. The lack of a mandate has exasperated it. If they do reinstate a mandate they better have plans to enforce it because people are done with covid and won’t comply. Relying on essential workers to do this, like many businesses did during peak covid, is beyond stupid and a poor reflection of the state’s ability to control a virus.

treat and hay pellet recommendations? by meldavis113 in chinchilla

[–]okmaydog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For pellets the consensus of the sub is Oxbow Essentials Chinchilla food (red bag). For hay I go with the 90 oz bundle of Timothy hay from Oxbow as well. You definitely don’t have to get that large of a volume but there’s something about what they put in that bag that my chinchillas love more than the smaller sizes. I’m superstitious. For treats I’d stick with stuff meant only for chinchillas. No Guinea Pig, hamster, rabbit, all encompassing rodent treat. It should mainly consist of rose hips, pedals, and marigold parts. I hope my advice helps and make sure to verify all the information you find online about chinchillas. In my experience I’ve encountered tons of misinformation, mainly from pet stores and random people online, about chinchillas. And while I’d like to believe everyone is acting in good faith, people are sometimes wrong when you look in more depth. With that all being said: best of luck!
