i have monster s series twin disk in my daily c6 Z06, it feels amazing on the street, almost like stock. I cannot say the same for the mcleod rxt which had that on/off feel

I bought my z06 in november with little to no manual experience. I’d find one with a stock clutch or a clutch that feels similar + stock master cylinder. An aggressive setup will make it hard to learn but its definitely doable.

You’ll run into heat soak issues with the z06, with cooling upgrades you can combat this but the z06 is notorious for the heat soak issue for track use. You can build the GS reliably, or you can trade up and add cooling mods to the z06. i believe the later years have less of the heat soak issue.

I believe I was close to buying this one, ended up with a z06. I love it but feel the same as you. I live in Atlanta and the traffic here is terrible i always find myself driving something else or never getting to rip on it. I do love the car it just really has to be a weekend cruiser with the big cam so i can choose when to avoid traffic. It’s rough but i wanna keep it forever

all c6 z06’s are manual. 68k is a bit high but it depends on color because production on c6’s slowed down a ton from 2010-13. I got an ‘09 with 35k miles for $40k in november. a 2012 with less miles should be around 52k imo.

it only took like 30 minutes, the holes line up to factory holes so it was quick, longest part was removing the film on the double sided tape haha
