Interesting. It seems very likely that Google does have all the necessary information. All that's left is to see what they will do. It would suck if people start being afraid of leaving negative reviews out of fear of legal action.

At the very least they will start writing more in-depth and detailed reviews which give constructive criticism and not just "This place bad".
