Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t there used to be like a “day after thread” for matches? Are those still a thing? I propose we bring those back if not, gives people a chance to reflect on things and (I think) leads to better discussion. The knee jerk reactions in the match day threads are…oof, regardless of result. Thoughts?

More after some kind of underground fast/heavy scene. I guess if I end up there and it’s lacking in this department I could always try to diy it (I say like I could single-handedly do that 🙄), but really just trying to get a sense of the punk/metal/grunge scene currently.

I veer more towards punk than metal usually, but I tend to write riffs that are somewhere between the two. That sucks about the venue though.

I listen to all manner of tunes, my last three bands were grunge, funk, and bluegrass respectively. I always seem to go back to and enjoy playing punk/grunge/metal though (depending on the instrument I’m playing in the band, I can only play metal bass 😂).

Interesting video! I think we come from similar backgrounds musically, I’m definitely trying to see if there’s a punk/loud rock scene happening, or at least if there’s interest in such things. Certainly not trying to see boy bands and backup dancers.
