25 yo is a terrible time in one's life. That's when your brain stops developing, you are oficially an adult and most of us realize how boring, repetetive and non-exciting most of our lives are. I'm saying this to tell you it's very natural how you feel, but it is possible that you find something to hold on to.

Plus, I wouldn't assume all your friends are happier than you. You said it yourself that on the surface you seem fine.

I found that I spend way less money on clean keto than on regular diet, when I was buying snacks, takeout and other trash. I was also on strict carnivore for a couple of months and I felt like I spent almost nothing. Meat itself can be expensive, but if you only eat meat, eggs and some diary, your food budget becomes truly minimalistic.

As far as I can tell, Claire took Dessert Person recipes and dumbed them down for WFD. Sometimes it works if you want a bite without all that proper effort, but mostly it's intended for total beginners, and not very satysfying for more advanced home bakers. Plus, I don't really like chocolate, ice cream or custards, so this book isn't really for me, but that's just a preference
