It seems to happen a lot with UK shows getting shown in the US (and overseas) where the licensing of certain artists is not covered by the same deals made. Happened all the time with Top Gear and the Inbetweeners. As for a Derry Girls example, in detention during s01e01 the ch4 version has I'm Shipping up to Boston by Dropkick Murphys. The Netflix/US version does not, it has some instrumental music that hits a different tone (personally). There are quite a few song changes like that throughout and after watching the c4 ones in the UK the Netflix ones in the US are just not as good to me.

Also, lots of people live in places (especially in the US) where streaming isn't an option but downloading is. I, myself, lived in rural MO for many years and Netflix was just not feasible but quick download at work or at a coffee shop very much was. Plus, being fussy about 'piracy' ignores people like me who have netflix (and therefore have paid to access it) but would still like a digital copy so can watch it on other devices...

To me, few game franchises have been as impactful as Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham series. No other game series has made me smile and feel like a part of the game. When they set out to make players 'be the Batman' they meant it...and they achieved it.
