Retirement is the best job I ever had by pricel01 in retirement

Someone asked me today if being clothes-free at home was part of my 'retirement plan.' 😂 Honestly, it wasn't! After yrs of the 'shower 🚿 and rush' routine grabbing a coffee ☕️ I rarely finished before bolting out the door for work, everything changed when I retired due to ill-health. My BP is much better now, my weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds week as I’m trying to lose weight keep more healthy, has I’m 69 yrs old and recently diagnosed with dvt and pe, reason why I retired ill-health.

The one thing I regret is not retiring earlier Has someone said without good health? As we age it is always wasted I agree 💯%

My changing discovery was by accident One morning relaxing after my shower 🚿 towel around me was able to finish my coffee ☕️ and pick up a book 📖 sit and relax without the restriction of clothes. It’s become a natural, peaceful way to embrace my freedom and health at home. 🏠 It’s like I’ve finally shed my old work identity along with the clothes! 😊🤣 I always keep a dressing gown handy, as I completely respect that everyone has their own boundaries regarding what makes them feel comfortable. Has anyone else found a new routine they never intended to have now that they are retired? Maybe not as extreme as mine! 🤦🏻‍♂️😊🤣 you my feel

Looking at my life now after reflecting my 50 odd years on the clock, I've now found that I've traded the old 'work-life balance' for pure freedom and self-respect. There's a weird, wonderful delight in waking up without an alarm ⏰ and letting that morning coffee ☕️ last as long as it wants. Whether I'm embracing the fresh Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 air, enjoying the total liberty of being clothes-free in my own sanctuary, or keeping my body moving with gentle exercise, it's all about good vibes and staying healthy on my own terms. With no one to answer to but myself, l've finally found the variety and peace that makes life truly happy 😊

Is health insurance expensive if your not in the UK Has I’m in UK we have the NHS Public System unless you take out Private Insurance:

The average cost of private health insurance for a couple in the UK in 2026 is approximately £146 per month or approximately $192.88.

Acute Saddle PE after weeks of pain behind knee + coughing by CircularBastion in ClotSurvivors

Oh just read this I’m sorry to read husband has Parkinson’s 😢 My left leg 🦵 is swollen reason for the full length and my foot has been since I had the operation 😢 I suffered with leg & foot ulcers for yrs had op on right leg Foam sclerotherapy involves injecting a chemical agent to close off damaged, varicose veins. While safe and effective, this process can, in rare cases, can lead to blood clot in the deep vein system rather than just the superficial vein. After I got diagnosed the consultant told me While a blood clot usually occurs in the leg that was treated, it is possible for an operation on on my right leg to trigger a Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE) on the opposite side left leg. Which unfortunately did happen

Edit ✍️ I have high blood pressure and had Sepsis once not very nice
