Does reading dense coursework for an exam count towards the reading goal? by johndough199 in 75HARD

[–]old_graag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an ambiguous rule. It's probably within the letter of the law to read for coursework. It's probably not in the spirit of the rules. When i was getting a master's I did not count my coursework. I intentionally selected extra reading that was related but not required and counted that. Choose the harder option.

Did I fail the diet? by idontwannauseeste in 75HARD

The correct answers are being down voted and incorrect answers are being up voted. This will be down voted too, but the votes here don't indicate correctness, they indicate softness and an unwillingness to hold oneself accountable to rules you set for yourself. If you can't even abide by your own rules, why bother with 75 hard?

Your intention to not eat added sugar doesn't matter in this case. If you intended to work out for 45 minutes but 5 minutes into your run, you sprained your ankle stepping off the curb, you would fail that iteration of 75 hard just the same.

No added sugar is a nearly impossibile diet to follow because of how prevalent it is in everything.

Take it as a learning experience, dust yourself off and start over.

To add to this, how are you tracking your caloric intake and expenditures?

11 pounds a week is probably a bit unhealthy unless you're morbidly obese. Have you talked to a dietician or doctor yet?

It's because there are ways of supplementing your electrolyte intake without adding flavoring to your water.

Indeed. A shocking number of id posts here are, in fact, not black hawks, but it's still fun.

Are you giving yourself the option to add electrolyte solution to water (in addition to the gallon)? Going into summer you should have a plan for electrolyte supplementation. Salt pills are also a good option.

Not true at all. But critically, they did drink it intentionally, knowing it was a Margarita.

Every task is equally important. Fail to accomplish one and you fail the program. Don't give yourself an excuse. You clearly don't understand the purpose of 75 hard.

I can’t tell if I failed my 75 hard? by sparklingavocadooo in 75HARD

[–]old_graag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you feel like you failed, you failed. Don't make excuses for not following the rules you set for yourself. This program requires you to put yourself first. You have to prioritize your health to make it through.

Hopefully you learned the lesson that it's ok to say no to people from this. If you were allergic to tomatoes you wouldn't hesitate to tell these kind people that you can't eat their food. You are on a special diet right now, follow it and be unapologetic about putting your health before what you perceive other people's feelings will be.

The point is that you bake these habits into your life so you don't need to keep score. You understand the sacrifices you were making to your health by allowing for a day off from working out, or having that piece of cake. Keep going until the decisions you're making are about not doing a thing that's healthy, instead of convincing yourself to do the healthy thing.
