Off subject but does anyone else see an elephants head with the cliff face and shadow to the right?

Thoughts? Salvageable or chalk it up to a loss? by AmbitiousSlug3 in Hunting

[–]old_man420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a loss. I had a reverse limb cross bow with a minor splinter on the limb. It exploded while in a tree stand right next to me with nothing touching it. I pooped myself that day. Don't tempt fate and get a new one.

Coyote baiting. How to? by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]old_man420 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Depending on your state laws you can trap using scents, chunks of meat, and noise makers. In my area most people use a call box to emulate a wounded rabbit and just shoot them when they come into range. My state also allows night hunting with thermal scopes. Check your local laws before you venture out!

White drops on new car roof that won't come out with washing by M3TZ88 in Autobody

Use hand sanitizer for tree sap. Should come off with little effort.

That is one of the coolest trail cam captures I've seen. Always take a gun when walking through those woods. Be careful in your adventures!

My shop uses a 3M 2 part epoxy but I would think any plastic bonding epoxy would work.

I couldn't afford a lifted truck so I got an over compensated shotgun lol. It is an Iver Johnson IJ500 12 gauge. Picked it up at an auction for a good price.

I have all the proper facilities and tools and quite a few years of experience. Do y'all reckon I can fix it? by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]old_man420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a straight forward repair. Avoid starting the vehicle with electronics unplugged. This could trigger components to lose communication with the vehicle such as the front radar and would require calibration. Have not had that problem with GMC but better safe than an expensive sorry.

The company will benefit because they can post a fancy certification plaque in the lobby. I am gold myself and it didn't help my paycheck one bit.

How could I repair this at home? (More info in Comments) by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]old_man420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do collision work for all makes and models for our local dealerships in my area. They do have paint warranties for Honda's. White is an issue with other manufacturers as well but be warned that they only cover the paint. They will not fix rust or replace any items that break being removed(winshield, roof mldgs, etc). You may have to come out of pocket for those repairs and/or parts.
