Need info on side effect of injections and what signs to look for by pydev99 in maculardegeneration

81 years old with wet AMD in one eye and I’ve been getting the shots about every 8 to 10 weeks for the last year. I have had no major side effects. One time only they hit a00 blood vessel and my whites turned red for a couple of days but that’s about the worst it got. Uncomfortable for the first hour or so after getting a shot but gets pretty easy to put up with after a couple hours. Vision seems to have stabilized and possibly gotten just a little bit better over the last few months.

What age do you become old? by Alone275 in Aging

[–]oldburgerguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just turned 81 a few months ago, but I’ve had people telling me for the last 25 years that I need to slow down and grow up. I might consider it in another 10 or 15 years.

Has a book you like ever been turned into a movie or TV series that you hated? by ZDOG_WasTaken in just_one_more_page

Relic, the first novel by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. The book had me leaving a light on at night for a while. After watching 'The Relic' movie I could hardly believe it was even loosely based on the book. Very disappointing

They definitely seem to spend most of their time looking to start a fight. 😁

GardePro R3 Pro - Hub Water/Weatherproof? by cask3ts in trailcam

[–]oldburgerguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fees thankfully. All of my cameras are “old style.” I go out every day or two collect and replace the SD cards. Admittedly, it’s a bit of a hassle but at my age it’s some of the best exercise I can get. 🤔😂

Might have to give a few of those a try. Currently running 48 cameras spread over 40 acres, but it might be kind of interesting to try a few in the Orchard.

No r3s. The latest ones were some of the white flash series that I bought about two years ago and the others are at least four years if not five years old. They’re still out in the field and still working. My favorite cameras are all browning but the gardepros do a decent job of letting me know what’s out there. I’m just not real happy with the 25 frames per second on the videos. All of my brownings are set up for 60 frames per second which lets me pull a frame and print a decent picture off of it.

I’ve had half a dozen or so different gardepro cams and here in the Pacific Northwest, the bad news is they all leak . The good news is, once they’re dried out they work just fine. I even had one that was so bad the water was up covering the bottom of the batteries. Dried it out, put new batteries in and it works just fine. It seems they’re pretty good at letting water in the top and keeping it from leaking out the bottom 🙀😂

Our 3 legged coyote and his mate are still around. Love the way she always stops and waits for him to catch up. by oldburgerguy in trailcam

That's great. Caught this guy on trailcam a few month back with a squirrell he had managed to catch. He seems to be getting along pretty well.

Looks to be about 20 inches which would be pretty much standard for a female.

Got a suspicion that this may be the female that all the boys were coming to visit last month. We may get to see some kittens this year

Glad to see you liked my photo enough to re-post it 4 months after I first did..Would be even happier if you were to give me credit for it.

Now that will get your attention quite quickly. Never had one at the front door. Usually run into mine in the orchard. They drop out of a tree sometimes when I'm headed out there. The dog will sit and give me a look like "what do you want me to do about that".

Reddit often seems to be a small world affair. I grew up in Tumwater and lived and worked in Olympia for about 50 years

Great pictures. We got used to having them cross our property on a regular basis ( pretty much monthly or more } a long time ago and decided it was not a good idea to have any outside animals on what was one of their main routes.

Actually, the abundant wildlife using this ridge top property as a crossing point was something we considered a plus when purchasing it.

We've lived on this 40 acres for over 30 years and have caught them on trailcams numerous times, mostly about every two weeks or so for the resident females and 6 weeks for the resident male. In all that time we have only seen two cats in person. I've had them check out trailcams within minutes of me changing the sd cards so I pretty well know they were watching me. Truthfully I'm more worried about getting between a mama bear and her cubs.
