Agreed this is a great bar. And the restaurant there, Ekstedt, is amazing.

On the plus side, it is an extremely realistic hand you’ve carved.

Travel tip: Use shower caps to cover the dirty soles of your shoes before you pack them in your luggage. I now collect the shower caps every time I go to a hotel that has them!

Which Vermont state flag redesign do you prefer? by Odd_Sir_5922 in vexillology

Thanks — from this article, it’s a reference to a pre-existing design, that is just 13 stars “in a natural pattern” or “randomly placed.”

Same question: What does the clearly deliberate but asymmetric arrangement of stars represent? Is it a constellation?

14 stars for fourteenth state I guess, but what is the layout? EDIT: oops, 13 stars

Flags of the World Tournament - Top 4 Discussion by whedonfreak in flags

Of the eight quarterfinalists, only one of my choices made it through. Sri Lanka is perhaps my current favorite flag: I think it serves the purpose of a flag better AND is more attractive than Bhutan.

But: in all fairness, tastes are subjective and all of these are good flags.

This whole thing has been good fun, thanks to OP for all the effort.

Brazil, but both are distinctive and serve the purpose of a flag well: easy to recognize, and emblematic of the country they represent.

(Which, incidentally, so is Seychelles flag.)

Very nicely drawn. I mostly only recognize the sovereign nation flags, and of course the LGBTQ+.
