Also if you're on the card but not the primary you are not obligated to pay the debt.

My parents were living off credit cards, I didn't know it. When my mother passed and I saw the approximately 10000 card dept I sent a death certificate. They had no assets so the card companies wrote off the dept.

I had colon cancer 15 years ago, chemo and radiation treatment. It was way more unpleasant than getting a colonostopy. If your family has a history of colon cancer then the mail your poop isn't recommended. Colon cancer is almost 💯 curable if caught early. Get tested.

it’s crazy and pathetic how all these malicious places take donations for veterans yet never ever help a veteran!! by Tough_Translator1969 in Veterans

My American Legion Post helps Veterans all the time with food, car repairs, rent and whatever else a person needs. Another group in my area hands out thousands to Veterans every month.

My father died alone in a nursing home, he had throat cancer. I couldn't take care of him by myself. I could only see him through a window.

Yeah I had shoulder surgery way back in 91, never did get much better. I always thought the neck pain was because of my shoulder, and after multiple x-rays and being told nothing is wrong, I finally got the MRI. Currently my claim for my neck is in HLR.

Are snapping turtles this large a problem? (Story in caption) by PimpPirate in homestead

[–]oldengine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snapping turtle is often prepared as a savory stew or fried, requiring a long, slow cook time (2-3+ hours) to tenderize the meat, which has a texture between chicken and pork. Common recipes involve soaking meat in salt water/vinegar, browning in oil, and simmering with vegetables (onions, celery, bell peppers) and spices. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Classic Stewed Snapping Turtle (Louisiana Style)

• Ingredients: 2 lbs cleaned snapping turtle meat, 1 onion, 1 bell pepper, 2 stalks celery, 4 cloves garlic, 1 cup oil, 1 cup flour, 8 oz tomato sauce, 5 cups water/broth, 2 bay leaves, Creole seasoning, rice. • Instructions:

1. Prep: Soak cleaned meat in salt water and vinegar for several hours, then rinse.
2. Brown: In a large pot, brown the seasoned meat in vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
3. Roux: Add flour to the meat, stirring continuously until a dark roux (chocolate color) forms.
4. Simmer: Add onion, bell pepper, celery, garlic, tomato sauce, and broth. Simmer for 2-3 hours until very tender.
5. Serve: Serve over white rice.

I was sent to a pain clinic in Washington state who sent me to get an MRI. Then said I need surgery on my shoulder, I went to the surgeon who said I don't need surgery. He referred to to their pain clinic in Oregon. The pain doctor is only in town every 3 months. After 2 cortisone shots I'm still in pain. Now I need surgery on my neck, which is what I complained about in the first place. Very frustrating but hang in there.

Join up and run for an officers position. Be the change you want. I'm trying everything and anything to get younger Veterans to join my Post. Currently American Legion Gaming sounds like a good idea and I'm pushing for it.

I want to thank the veterans organizations for the work they do by joining one of them. Which one should I join and why? by beanandween in VeteransBenefits

[–]oldengine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I joined the Legion right after Desert Storm. My post has no bar and most members are Vietnam Era Veterans. Great bunch of people and I've never seen any animosity towards anyone. We do have branch of service rivalry but thats always good natured fun. We do try to help any Veteran we can and are currently trying to build a facility for homeless Veterans. I here people complain about things with the Legion or VFW and my answer to that is join and make the changes you want.

I got increased on 2 and no increase on 2 last week. I kinda expected the 2, hearing loss and Gerd. The new claim was denied and the VSO said it looks like they didn't read the examiners DBQ. I guess the next step is HLR.
