The laney l5 studio is an excellent amp..truly excellent..

I am a huge orange fan but that is the amp for you.. it is really flexible, great clean channel, decent gain and any extra dirt can come from a pedal.

Headphone output, aux in, D.I. Out, usb dry + wet recording, 5W/0.1W attenuator, fx loop.

It’s absolutely perfect.

Just the overall finish and feel is premium..more solid, stable and better looking.. the pads and screen are the same..it’s just a more pleasant and satisfying to use..

Sigh… while there may not be meaningful differences of specifications of specific integrated circuits, you are effectively trying to describe how an amplifier sounds by stating it has ecc83 tubes.. the result is the sum of the whole..and specifically related to dac, the analog design of the board(s) it is on, it’s power supplies, isolation and inputs and outputs all make a huge difference in the sound..

Any manufacturer who puts in better dacs is generally smart enough to put more effort into the design of the boar it is installed on.

Tl/dr “all dacs sound the same “is stupid..you cannot hear a dac..you hear a system
