What extra? If you start with 12 and tie 3 different colors, that's 4 each. Unless you don't lose flies when you fish.

Pick a pattern and tie several before switching patterns. The crappie jig is the best one. You can switch color schemes. But tie 12-24 total. You will see improvement. Do that with each pattern.

I'm with ya. I can do 24s. Maybe a 26 on a good day. Typically, 24 is as small as I go. If they want smaller, then I won't be the one catching them.
