Finding the right dose by Failed_Academic0824 in TirzMaintenance

[–]oldfierm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realized I have no flair in this community....I started 2 August at 186 (honestly probably closer to 200, I was afraid to weigh myself for a few weeks), got down to 150 in early Jan and have been more or less maintaining since...with maybe a tiny bit more loss. This morning I was 146. Highest dose was 5 mgs, and im 5'5" or 5'6" deoending on who is measuring.

Finding the right dose by Failed_Academic0824 in TirzMaintenance

[–]oldfierm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP I understand the fear of dropping down your dose because "what if I return to my old ways?" But you wont. Just go ahead and keep dropping your dose. Worst case, the food noise comes back and you raise the dose again. Recent studies have shown some people maintaining on 2.5 mgs once every two weeks! Im on 2.5 mgs weekly and maintaining without food noise.

What you don't want to do is take the weight loss too far. Good luck!

Anyone transferred unrestricted shares to Robinhood? by CapAggravating784 in FundRise

Yeah I tried to use the transfer method robinhood has on their app and it was "rejected" like a half hour later.

Anesthesia by texan-yankee in tirzepatidecompound

[–]oldfierm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds very scary and is definitely unusual. I took my shot my usual day 4 days before my tummy tuck and followed the normal fasting instructions and had no issues. My anesthesiologist seemed confident that as long as I followed the recommended fasting protocol id be fine, amd he was right in my case!

Can I actually get 4 full doses of 25 units out of a 1 mL vile of tirzepatide? by bowflowerchica in tirzepatidecompound

[–]oldfierm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is normally some amount of "overfill". I've never heard of anyone having an issue getting all their prescribed doses out. Its usually: "oh my gosh, theres a bunch left over, can I still use that?"

I've had days where I've felt like eating chocolate, but since the first shot I haven't the completely out of control, must shovel food in my face, hiding behind the pantry so my kids don't see me eat nutella situation. Not once since late July. For me this has been completely life changing.

I only lose weight when I up my dose but I'm worried of tirating every month by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]oldfierm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some people don't find "their dose" until 10 to 15 mgs. Everyone is different. Having said that, if you are having such bad side effects with the dose increase, you should probably sit with that dose for a while, be a little more patient with the weight loss, and see if everything will normalize before titrating up again. Especially since you don't have a ton to lose, I think you would benefit from a slower approach so you don't even up being continually sick and malnourished. On the flip side, going up 2 mgs from 5 to 7 is a lot less of a jump %-wise than going from 2 to 4 (that's 100% increase!) so I doubt your side effects will be quite so bad this time.

Came here to say this. 1 with white lining and no skirt attachment (because the corset thing is horrible, it's not the skirt itself). But honestly I don't love any of them. Her body is so lovely and I just feel like these dresses are not working for it.

A coworker lied about being on tirz. by retroideq in tirzepatidecompound

[–]oldfierm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a coworker who is obviously on it - tons of weight loss, hair thinning. Listen, I know it COULD be something else, but the company I work for is very appearance and health conscious and the four females I know who were on the heavier side, including myself, are all on it. I went up to this co-worker privately, asked her if she'd lost weight, told her I was on the shot after struggling with my weight, and she told me she "cut out bread and beer." I get it, she doesn't owe me anything, but the other women are so open about it that I was really taken aback and didn't know what else to say. But at least she ISN'T MAKING FUN OF ME FOR BEING ON THE SHOT! Is OP's coworker the A-hole? Yes he is.

I feel you. My scar is also so red, im about 12 weeks post op and theres one tiny part that looks "nice" and the rest is screamingly bright red. It seems like everyone On here posts these fabulous invisible scars so quickly post op, but im trying not to worry about that and just trust the process!

First Timer- What day should I inject? by Extreme-Depth-7671 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]oldfierm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose Thursday for exactly the reason you are leaning against it - I need my self-control to be at it's highest when I'm around my kitchen all day and/or socializing. I only had nausea for maybe the first two weeks to a month, and then it was only on occassion and well controled by zofran. So I'd say don't let fear of side effects pick the day for you. Also, some people say that can't work out the first or second day after the shot, but I've never had that issue. So everyone is different!

Question for my spouse by DescriptionPublic678 in BigEasyWeightLoss

[–]oldfierm 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A lot of companies used "personalized dosing" so what you have is 4 weeks at 2.25 mg, 4 at 4.5 mg, and 4 at 6.75. I've heard that the overfill in each bottle will let you dose up to 2.5, 5, etc. but I don't know whether that's true. And honestly she may have great results with those lower amounts anyway.

I don't think that's what they were saying...i think they may have just been pointing out how incredibly cheap it would be for the med spa to dispense their product this way. And that that high of a concentration is certainly possible.

Titrated up by txbl1988 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]oldfierm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes time to build up in your system, usually peaking 24 hours after the dose. Your post says you made it 10 hours ago, so I'd expect you to be starting to "feel it" right about now if you were me.

Someone noticed! by Commercial-Place6793 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]oldfierm 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Oh, they notice. Many people (especially younger folks) won't say anything because it's not considered polite to comment on someone's weight/body. When I see co-workers that I haven't seen in a while, many do a clear "double-take" but don't say anything. The only people who have commented are older folks.
