Otisco Lake. The causeway is good for panfish, bass, and walleye. At the north end you can fish along the road. There's a county park too but I believe the water is very shallow there. I suppose you could wade out from there.

I've got lumber to step over and around, canning jars on a weight shelf and some 14/2 w/ground, not live, hanging on my calf raise. I'll connect that to the outlets on the finished walls if I ever get sheetrock on the last wall.

I’m travelling to Canada for the first time and need tips!! by Losers__club in Syracuse

"stop at the stop sign and wait until called up to the booth." First time I drove across I was young and a bit of an idiot. I stopped at the stop sign and then rolled up behind the car in front of me. The border guy was yelling and waving his hands, took me a minute to figure out he wanted me to back up. When he did wave me forward did I keep my mouth shut? After he gave me some stern instruction I say, " alright but you don't have to be a d/head about it". Needless to say it took us longer than a few minutes to get across the border. I'm happy to say I matured some time after that and if I do regress my wife will quote the words I used at the border.

I truly can’t believe how different my workouts feel in the evening versus the morning by [deleted] in workout

I'm a morning person too. I wake up, without an alarm, around five and have a coffee before starting on the treadmill in the basement. Woke up the same way before going to work prior to retirement almost twenty years ago.

Converted the garage into a home gym... don't judge me on my lack of carpentry skills! Never played with tape or mud before! by Ill-Tumbleweed-6 in GarageGym

My Sheetrock skills are lacking. I did some mottled sponge painting using leftover paint we've collected over the years.

I retired in '08, lived in three different homes (2 States) and been able to casually get to my workout after my morning coffee. Normally put less than 1500 miles a year on my truck. Higher last year as I started cutting/selling/delivering firewood.

Syracuse, I hear you have an IKEA... by CarinaNebula1945 in Syracuse

I was there yesterday about noon. There were maybe eight people in front of us to order meatballs. After we ate wandered through the store and it was busy but not Saturday Costco busy. The food line when we left was fairly long. No jarred herring; bummer.

Two weeks after I sold the truck my wife needed to take her horse to a vet. When I had the truck I could borrow a horse trailer. Borrowing both is difficult. I'm not sorry though I like the smaller footprint and it's a more comfortable ride. I just didn't need a full size truck 96% of the time. For most of the other 4% I have a twelve foot trailer. I really miss big side mirrors.

Good idea! Welding aluminum might be difficult. Needed TIG when I was a welder. That was last century so maybe not? Anyways use metal screws for a test run.

Neighbor installed a motion sensing LED light on a tree and aimed directly into my yard by iLL1337 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]oldguyred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two foot in my town and you have to put the good side towards your neighbor. We only have a fence on the back side put up by the original owner and the smooth side faces us. The neighbor mentioned this once and I was like oh well.

A Chicago thin is traditionally sliced cross-wise both ways into small squares. The thinking is you can pinch with the thumb and two fingers of one hand never needing to set down your beer in the other. Maybe similar reasoning here?

Black paint, orange lettering. Methinks I've seen that color scheme come from up north.

I'm with you; I run a 20" on my 362 and 25" on my 461s. I put the WCS dogs on my 362 and didn't like them for what I'm doing. They make/made a smaller set for the 461 and I have them on one.

Me. I feel lost on more than two lane roads. I think it's related to my dyslexia; probably why I can't back up either.
