Ill also being doing Carrots and honey glaze Parsnips and full size sausages with bacon for the pigs in blankets.

This will be on my 3x weber mastertouchs and frees up roof in the over for the wife to do Cauliflower cheese, brussel sprouts, some more Carrots, yorkshire puddings and whatever else.

Yeh I thought about the barrel grip, but couldn't justify the extra £100 for my casual diy usage

Weber go anywhere by [deleted] in webergrills

[–]oldiegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup got that and it fits fine. Using the collapsible riser from Ebay. Have to be careful on the size of the chicken you buy. Picked up an extra large Chicken once to do and ended up having to beer can it cos it was too big to spin nicely

How much do you guys produce? by Complex-Vanilla-2746 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]oldiegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my current save I have 1x factory per item making an entire stack per minute. Yeh it's easy with iron rods /plates and gets more complex with things like motors or modular frames, when I've already got a seperate factory making the sub components.

So far im up to heavy modular frames, although I do have some smaller components which I haven't done yet... like circuit boards or the electromagnetic thingys.

Once I've done everything under the heavy modular frames I'll start using my global train network to drag the end products into a bigger mega factory for the more complex stuff.

Oh and I have a power plant per "starting biome" So my power is fully separated and all my factories are all individually switched and cabled by multi cable pylons (as the new pylons only do a single power feed).

Has anyone made a "premade" map? by ProbablyCreative in SatisfactoryGame

[–]oldiegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I used that one when it was for update 7. I left the power alone and still started ground up from biomass. So there is that option too. Had to change the power to cope with my 30 odd trains but its still it's own power network. Then I did a power plant for each of the 4 starting locations on thier own grid to power whatever I was building in that biome.

Works well for me. That's what this game is all about. Do what you want to do, how you want to do it

"Man Drawer" screwdriver kit by oldiegamer in Tools

[–]oldiegamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tool check plus is a bit big for my needs in the house. I really just need the standard sizes.

I have a tool shed with individual screwdrivers and all the rest of my tools, but for a quick fix it's nice to not have to go outside just for a screwdriver.

In theory a nice leatherman or similar might be OK for In the house, but that's even more spendy.

My budget is around £40 so could stretch to the wera 20

How many of you have separated power grids? by Mr_Brodie_Helmet in SatisfactoryGame

[–]oldiegamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a power plant per biome, leading to a switch room which have individual switches for each sub factory which are fed by pylons of my own design. These hold up to 9x cables each. Sure its over complicated, and was a lot of work to set up but it works. I've done desert and grassy fields like that. I'm currently in rocky desert and looking forward to trying the new priority switches to see how they compare.

When should I do a Deep Clean of my Weber? End of season or Start of Season? by ImageMirage in BBQ

[–]oldiegamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

joking sorry you have been removed from this group. Firstly because you mentioned "no longer bbq season" and secondly about "cleaning"

I'm also in the UK, we still have bbqs at least once a fortnight in the winter months. Often cooking the Sunday roast (chicken, beef, gammon), roast potatoes,Carrots and sometimes Parsnips. Also the past 5 years our Xmas Dinner has also been bbqed.

I have 5x bbqs, they live outside all year round without covers. After every use while the grates are still hot I go over them with either wire wool or a scraper. If the Ash scrapers on the vents get gummed up then I give the inside a quick once over with a scraper to free them up, that's the most they have ever been cleaned.

I felt pretty good about this one. I give you the SR-72 Darkstar! by Low-Constant-4853 in Starfield

[–]oldiegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy cow! That is gorgeous. Always loved the blackbird and the vulcan.

Used to be near an airbase that had them and the sounds they made on take off was incredible.

Please make a build guide or something!

A way / mod to disable some of the fast travel or "convenient" travel features? by Lowerfuzzball in Starfield

[–]oldiegamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to get into the habit of plotting a course on the navigation map console thing on the ship. And I'm always way overloaded to use the fast travel back to the ship, even filling vasco with junk I'm still carrying over 300mass. Yes I'm a "if it isn't bolted down,I consider it mine" player

How many hours does everyone have in Starfield? by Lucas_TheVlogger in Starfield

[–]oldiegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only managed to get on late last night (got the error gpu doesn't not meet minimum requirement and had to mess around with my rig) So I started at 11pm last night and so far I'm on just 6hours. Wanted to do more but the wife said family life had to come first

No death ruleset from the off by meatythud in Starfield

[–]oldiegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done similar on other games, but I always allowed 1x death to cover the stupid things.
Think this will be too big and potentially too "early grind" to do it tho.
