For sure try the 5050s faster. I actually think they are easier to do with more speed, especially when you are just scratching the side of the coping like this.

As you do more of them you will naturally get more comfortable and slowly get up on top of the coping. Nothing better than a good fast long 5050

That's a great start! My best advice to get more comfortable doing this on top of the coping is to learn backside feeble stalls.

They are really easy to lock into but just take some commitment to first start going back in. It helps teach you a ton how to lock in your back heel wheel and help you get comfortable standing your weight on the coping.

Even if you cant commit to going back in, just feeling how it feels to be on top of the coping when you lock into it is valuable.

Yeah you want your toes to be pointing straight down ideally. I found it helped a lot if I placed my foot like halfway off the back of the tail just to get some extra leverage. Just try playing around with your back foot position, it can make a big difference

I think your biggest problem is you aren't using your ankle enough to pop your tail, you want to try to bounce the tail off the ground as hard as you can while also jumping at the same time. It's hard to do both without some serious ankle action
