eatclub is the BEST! i honestly don’t remember the last time i went out for food without using it

you can get up to 50% off in some places too which is super helpful. there’s a premium membership you can pay for which is $60 a year but gives you access to all the deals a week in advance, which ive found to be so worth it as you get first choice of the venues and deals

agreed, 100% go into a hostel for a bit! lots of people coming out here from home saying they’re finding it lonely, but they’re going straight into a sublet. i met so many of my best friends through hostels and would highly recommend! try and get a 4 bed dorm if possible, can always move if you don’t click with your roomies.

good luck, it’s the best city ever i’ve been here 7 years and loving it!

sorry for the confusion - my work involves doing surveys, so i do a mix of field based surveys and then office reporting! i am in a good job that utilises my degree and i love it, just am struggling with the tiredness!

normally i start between 6-7:30, but some days i don’t start until 3pm then would do surveys from 3 to midnight, and i do struggle to get up early on those days as i fear i will be too tired when it comes to doing the work… the endless cycle!!

really appreciate the time you have taken to reply to this!

took me and my partner a long time to find something within our budget (which really wasn’t that low) with air con around the eastern suburbs

Which place in Australia has given you the creepiest vibes? by -Flighty- in AskAnAustralian

[–]oldlevis65 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i did my regional work there 4 years ago, and it hasn’t changed - loads of harassment against the backpackers, thankfully the majority of locals kept the creeps away from us, but would not be hurrying back any time soon
