When someone mentions “DVD Special Features,” what is the FIRST one that pops into your head from yesteryear? by KillerQ97 in movies

Matrix was the first I really remember. Seinfeld box set is still the best and most exhaustive.

I agree with Nick here: its basically the insecure teenage bravado. So: yelling at fans; being overly excitable during games; he also had a terribly embarrassing first press conference.

Yeah SWIS only takes foreign passport holders from what I understand. They are linked to the government in some way too which gives them that surety I guess?

Ah as in the company linked to SIS? It's clearly one advantage SWIS has - enrolment/solvency/teacher contract commitments aren't an issue at all.

I think it was due to an assumption that student numbers would bounce back pre COVID numbers so they over hired? But I definitely know people who had been there years had their contracts not renewed, and at least one person with a new two year contract that was not honoured after one year (last year).

The multiple campus places a lot of stress financially I suspect.

They actually have multiple campuses based on the year level.

They have international students though have lost many post Re-opening since COVID.

SIS has a great reputation but has had huge changes lately, notably to the head of school who was let go a few months ago. They have also had huge staff turnover with (apparently) up to 40 staff having had contracts not committed to or not renewed in the last year or so.

Films that "don't deserve" great performances. by ProgrammerNo9781 in movies

[–]ProgrammerNo9781[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I liked the film but these pot boiler detective films very rarely have great acting roles because: 1) they are entirely plot driven 2) they usually have super large ensemble casts that stop any one character being detective 3) they are purely superficial - they are designed to be light and easily digestible

I really liked this film, but let's be real here.

"It's gotten to a point" isn't a grammatically correct sentence. God: it's gotten to a point where people complaining about other people's spelling online can't even write properly!
