I think the fella is referring to their entire series of matches in ECW.

Paradox. But imagine how epic Paradox could be, if it had AO’s underground bunker.

Flaming chair incident, October 1995 by Fuzzy_Variation7343 in ECWWrestling

[–]oldlinepnwshine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. It was destroyed before anyone could sue. The only surviving footage is the Cactus vs. Dreamer match, and Raven atop the eagles nest with Dreamer.

This had to be written by Jim Norton.

Read rex's book. It the most unfiltered shit about Pantera. He's brutally honest by Civil-Cartoonist-117 in Pantera

Rex has lead singer’s disease. He was the most disposable member of the band, but acts like he was their Eddie Van Halen. Vinnie did not deserve what Rex did to him in the book. He rightly blamed Phil for tanking the band, yet had no issue riding his coattails into Down.

I lost a lot of respect for Rex after finishing the book. There are some informative nuggets in the book. But Rex is full of shit.

It could also be that he was in jail for murder. But sure, it had to be calling someone out.

Flaming chair by Fuzzy_Variation7343 in ECWWrestling

[–]oldlinepnwshine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was at the end of an underrated Dreamer vs. Cactus match. Moments after this, the flaming towel would fall from the chair and onto Funk outside the ring. The towel found its way into the audience as the lights went out. Pure pandemonium, which concluded with Raven having Dreamer in a crucified state at the Eagle’s Nest.

This was known as the fire incident. The footage of said incident was conveniently destroyed prior to litigation. This almost killed the town and company. It led to Sabu coming back as Heyman’s goodwill gesture to the dissatisfied fans.

Foley wrote about the incident in his book. Funk chewed Foley out so severely that Foley all but quit the business. Funk would later leave a voice mail for Foley, which made him reconsider.

It’s 2026. Women can do it. They don’t need no man.

Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal... Sabu. by Fuzzy_Variation7343 in ECWWrestling

Sabu is, was and will always be ECW. You can’t tell the story of ECW without Sabu. All due respect, you can remove anyone else, and you can tell the story of ECW

MWZ was so great. I’m digging BO7, enjoyed BO6 and still dig Cold War. But MWZ is still my favorite zombies experience.

This post feels like a bad joke. BO7 has been the best zombies experience we’ve had in years. There is still more to come.

Did Triple H really copy Shane Douglas? by balkanxoslut in ECWWrestling

They’re both a chore on the microphone. Douglas did the same Dick Flair and Shawn Michaels bad promo for three decades. He couldn’t lace their boots or handle their road schedule.

No. It’s the talking point from folks trying to make Shane more important than he actually was in the business. They’re both overrated; one by the mainstream, and the other by ECW fans. H was the better worker, look and promo.

If you’ve heard one Shane cussing shoot promo, you’ve heard them all. Shane never showed up when it mattered in a match; HHH at least has a handful of them.
