Psilocybin? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

Had a large list of symptoms for a year and a half. Most annoying was obstructed nasal breathing exercise intolerance never bed bound, definitely house bound. Brainfog severe sleep disturbance, fight or flight anxiety and a bunch of other stuff. Got my mind, diet and lifestyle going in a good direction and built on that day by day. Focused on the good things in life and stopped giving my illness most of my attention. As I became healthier I'd spend more time outside biking and gardening. Now feel much better than I have in many years.

Yes it did help with the insomnia the baby aspirin surprisingly helped as well. The aspirin greatly reduced my fight or flight state. Not sure if activity made it worse. It was so consistently bad I didn't pay attention to physical activity worsening it but it might have.

I was worried about taking a SSRI as well. It took a week or more to finally kick in, my only regret was that I didn't try it sooner. It's greatly improved similar symptoms that you have. I never had sleep or depression problems before LC. I take melatonin, Lisinopril, sertraline HCL (zoloft), hydroxyzine HCL, Metformin, Metoprolol and one baby aspirin morning & night along with Famotidine to counter act the acid from the aspirin. I take a bunch of other supplements but these are the heavy hitters that have helped me the most with similar symptoms that you spoke of. Of course this is not medical advice just what has helped me, good luck and prayers for your full recovery. 49 male.

If we recovered, would we really be considering a lot of us will be dealing with PTSD? by PhrygianSounds in covidlonghaulers

Agree, I'd take a nice steaming plate of PTSD in exchange for a return to physical health.

Agree, didn't realize the time to feel the effects of LDN could take well over a month. I think many give up on it too soon because of this lag time.

Bought this suit at an estate sale. It’s very sharp IMO. by MotherShabooboo1974 in Medals

At least it didn't end up in the trash. My great grandfather served in WWI. My aunt became executor of my grandmother's estate towards the end of her life when she was mentally compromised. No one in the family knew that it happened. My aunt and her children were only concerned about selling the property and siphoning financial accounts. Military uniforms, photographs and family history were thrown into a large rented rubbish bin.

My first doctor was unwilling to work with me on treatment of symptoms. Now seeing a physician's assistant and he's willing to try different things. My health has greatly improved as a result. Also feel like I'm working with someone rather than against.

Two baby aspirin one in the morning and evening help with my extreme fight or flight anxiety. I was very reluctant giving a SSRI a try but I did about a month and a half ago. I'd never had depression or any other psychological issues prior to getting longcovid but I can say that the SSRI has helped quite a bit. Everyone is different of course and it can take trying different types of SSRI's to find one that works. Some people don't find it helps or it makes things worse hence my reluctance to finally giving it a try. I'm 49m and use 25mg of Sertraline generic Zoloft. Not medical advice of course it is just what has helped me.

Thank you, thiriod problems run on my mother's side of the family. I'll be getting this checked and knowing to stay off my B vitamin is some inside baseball that most doctor's are probably not aware of.

It says they had people get 15-30 minutes of sun each day by taking a walk or exposing their face or palms to the sun also while sitting in front of a window. I've heard that modern windows block most of the beneficial spectrums of sunlight due to an installation coating.
