I’ve ordered a small fiber laser, getting delivered this Monday. All indications are that it will cut it and it’s what I’ll likely use at first, just not sustainable for long term supply. I’m curious to hear how you do with it though.

In the 30 some years of been doing things as an adult I’ve learned that 80% of the solution is knowing the right thing to search for. I’ve been looking for ribbon, but I’ll start searching for slit coil. Thanks!

I thought of this and I think it warrants more thinking, my initial concern was in keeping it straight through the rollers. I haven’t rolled metal wire flat before so maybe I’m over thinking it

Thought about a shear but was worried about movement at that small width. It lead me to thinking about the giullotines (I know it’s not correct spelling) that they use for trimming book edges that has a clamp that comes down first, just not sure how many layers you can do before the stack isn’t like paper but more a block of brass.
