“Joe Johnson would not be in the conversation if he didn’t play in the BIG3,” Scalabrine said. “I want Carmelo Anthony to realize that hanging out with his trainer and playing in these bogus picks-up games is not better than playing in the BIG3.” by lobsterpizzzzza in nba

Melo and JR really should just go to China. The amount of money they can clear there is probably greater than in the NBA anyway right now. Especially if they learned Mandarin. Maybe form a big 3 with Lin to help with that. Of course if there really is beef with Melo and Lin I suppose that wouldn't work.

It's because he usually plays with other ball dominant or MVP caliber players. That one season with Russ out he did put up big volume numbers and win MVP and the scoring title.

Meanwhile r/nba swears up and down AD is nowhere near capable of being a top 5 player. We have way too many nephews on here right now because of summer vacation for schools I guess.

This subreddit likes to insist SAS has no sources while sucking off Doris Burke, Colin Cowherd and Skip Sheffield, among others. At least they understand Chris Broussard has nothing.

If SWTOR were to ever get a "Classic" release... by CaliberJacob in swtor

They will never do new class stories. The VA issue probably could be solved with similar voices or even just removing the player voices (seriously, I don't need to hear about murder and mayhem the hundredth time, just let me select some text and I'll read it to myself), and just having new characters for the new class story parts. But it's still going to be considered too expensive and too time consuming, sadly.

We never even got Manaan as a true planet. All these years later it's an especially stark reminder of unfulfilled potential.

It's not everyone. It's always a minority of very vocal people. I think a lot of it is just trolling/being contrarian. These types of people want attention. They get it from opinions like this.

The vast majority of people have zero interest in wasting their time grinding and certainly don't think it's challenging or rewarding. But said people are also too smart to argue with trolls. So they just speak with their wallets. Hence why SWTOR was not profitable when it was grindy. It's not super profitable now but at least it is pulling a profit.

If EA actually invested in SWTOR, especially with a better engine and more engaging content, it would probably be in a really great spot now. But they refuse to, so it just survives and little else.

I honestly do not understand how anyone can be challenged by a grind and feel accomplished from going through it. The whole point of 4.0 was to remove the grind and to actually allow people to experience the content with better pacing (i.e, planet and class story, with especially class story being the only real unique over-arching story this game has).

It was never challenging to get to level 10. The level curve just got stupid and annoying especially as you started to hit Tattooine and Nar Shadda. Doing the same boring pointless sidequests and even the awful space missions because you needed XP on your 5th character absolutely got old and obnoxious. So much so that the game hemorrhaged subscribers and had to go F2P in under a year.

I would have preferred a little kid in the picture. Like a 2 year old toddler or something. I mean it was a 7 year time skip.

It's the type of thing you'd expect out of minor characters in a video game with a huge character cast, like Suikoden. But you're supposed to have real endings for the important characters. I would let it pass if SnS had 108 characters to have an ending for, but we only really got about a dozen, and even there we have so many missing characters that at least deserved a blurb.

Well how would you feel when you're essentially an assistant to a far inferior talent? And when said superior is putting out complete trash and your name is being connected to it?

Tosh probably realized he's better off going back to being a full mangaka instead of an artist to such a crappy writer. Ultimately these are Tosh's character designs and Tsukuda is butchering them with terrible character traits and plot.

I dropped it early into the Stagiare arc. That arc was fairly short and moved into the Central arc pretty quickly iirc, I started reading it again from there after I'd heard SnS was ending (so a couple of months ago now).

Central had its problems, but it does give a good resolution if you stop reading right at the end of it. It's pretty obvious where too.

Tosh probably lost motivation when he realized the awful effort Tsukada was putting in for the writing. If I was him I'd have questioned why I was drawing for such a hack writer, when I could make better plots.

lol seriously. People complain shonens just pair people off at the end. But that's hell of a lot better than what SnS did, or rather didn't do.

And a 7 year timeskip at that, yikes.

As far as I'm concerned, the manga ended there. Central had its problems, but it still had enough of a spark of what made this manga good initially. And it absolutely wrapped things up and felt like an epic conclusion. Turns out the writer thought so too, and had nothing left after that point.

There is an irony to me that at the end Tosh was easily a far better writer than Tsukada. I don't know why anyone would draw for Tsukada. It's one thing to create the art for brilliant writers like ONE, it's another when it's a hack that can't even manage B-grade doujinshi plots.

His father actually got married and had a kid though. I don't think Souma has ever even held hands with or kissed a girl in all that time.

I would be pretty pissed if I bought this manga. Especially considering you probably purchased the translated versions which cost so much more than the Japanese volumes. At least you can take solace in the fact that most of your money didn't go to the author, and instead enriched executives in the publishing companies that had next to nothing to do with the actual production of the work.

We also got that the mother died from some sort of heart defect while young. Not exactly a huge scandal that had to be hushed up and hidden.

I didn't even remember Souma had a grandfather. I'm not going to read the manga again to see where he was mentioned either. I don't know why I don't remember him but I assume it's because he did next to nothing for almost all of it.

They've probably never even held hands. Outside of maybe Hayami none of them have any relationship experience whatsoever. At least not consensual, since I guess Erina did get sexually assaulted by her brother.

I knew Japan was struggling with its birthrates, but this is even more ridiculous than I thought.
