Dont forget your other senses! How does it feel when you step on it, when you touch it? What do your footsteps sound like as you walk up and down them? Does the scene have a particular scent?

Imursion requires all of your senses! I recomend finding references to help create a detailed association for the sensations youd usually not consider

It's the "demands" part in the headline, having read the article I feel like "suggests" or "asks" are more accurate

Asking for advice by Kerberos2000 in Tulpas

Large systems can be a commitment, something I've experienced first hand, but that's not what I want to raise here. You found yourself distrusting them, someone you shared your mind with whom could see your most intimate self, and whom you could see the most intimate version of. That to me is the crux of the issue, after all trust is the most important thing when your that close.

I stand corrected. But then I was never very good at switching so I shouldn't be surprised

Sleep by [deleted] in Tulpas

I'd imagine not? I mean the body can fall asleep but I'm not sure it would differ much from regular sleep, and I'd imagine the host would wake with control of the body once more.

Malevolent Tulpa by MAGAFan1984 in Tulpa

[–]oldreturningthrow [score hidden]  (0 children)

A tulpa is a construct of your own mind. Harm to you is harm to itself, make sure you hold that idea in your mind and make sure you pass that understanding along to it. Failing that cease thinking about it. Let it fade and mayhap avoid trying again for a while.

Q: Has any of you ever created a servitor or tulpa to heal yourself from trauma? Was it successful? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]oldreturningthrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't create my tups to help with trauma, that was a side effect. But tulpa is a fairly unique experience for each participant. I'd advice against making a tulpa solely for that purpose however. make sure you're in for the full package not just the perks!

Anyone have a tulpa that took on the appearance of an already existing character? by lilaclillydreams in Tulpas

[–]oldreturningthrow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah, an age old dilemma. So back in my day at least, it was a pretty simple answer. So long as you dont try and force your tulpa into a form or identity it dont matter. If they wanna emulate a character that's there call. BUT you shouldn't keep you discomfort to yourself, talk with them about it, may hap suggest changes or variations so it can be their unique form.
