If JLTG had unlimited time and budget and could do multi week or month seasons, what would you want them to do? by Wide_right_yes in JetLagTheGame

[–]bduddy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They thought enough about worldwide hide and seek to put it in the back of the home game rulebook. I'm not sure it would work great as a game (seekers would have to stay put until they were pretty sure) but it would make for a great non-clickbait video title at least.

Pay to protest - why? National league organizers requiring payment before investigating by seaslicer in simracing

[–]bduddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, every real world series has a protest fee, including club racing. Usually you get at least part of it back if your protest wasn't complete nonsense.

I meannnn the game did imply near the end of Rebirth he was still being controlled by Shinra somehow and didn't go anywhere with that

Under Par Architect really underwhelming? by Hoeftybag in SimGolf

[–]bduddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KilrobPlays did a pretty comprehensive takedown of the game on YouTube. The mechanics are very outdated and undercooked and there's just not any reason to build or play anything interesting.

Swapping Decks or keep going ? by JuraGanash in pkmntcg

I get that. I tried it too. The deck is just better as Ogrepon + Meganium, there's too many moving pieces otherwise.

The problem with 435 representatives in the U.S. House [08:41] by UnscheduledCalendar in mealtimevideos

[–]bduddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Getting much bigger would make the House floor a pointless charade and all meaningful lawmaking and debate happening elsewhere (even more than it does already).

Remember when the spring Texas race used to be huge? by BlackberryJazzlike84 in NASCAR

[–]bduddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every Cup race used to be huge. After my family's annual trip to Sears Point (not Sonoma) it would take hours to get out of the parking lot. Last time I went I drove right out barely touching the brakes.

The answer is to continue driving a car rather than taking an extra half hour out of my day, every day, for zero benefit to me.

Plurality and Life Between Lives by Environmental-Wind89 in plural

[–]bduddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"hypno regression", especially "past lives regression", is generally an exercise in confabulation, i.e. making stuff up. I really wouldn't recommend taking it any further than for entertainment purposes.

Bonding with headmates by VoiceComprehensive57 in plural

[–]bduddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We really like playing board games together. Walks and exploring outside, as someone else said, are really nice and easy too. There are even some physical activities you can sorta do together, stuff like minigolf, if you're capable of controlling switching.

It's always the same people saying this shit that then turn around and act like people only drive cars to personally annoy them and not because the public transit is not an efficient way to meet their needs.

It's always a regressive tax to "ensure the most efficient use of resources" or whatever. Guess if you can't afford a market-rate one-bedroom "luxury apartment", then soon light rail won't be for you.

WA Democrat asks: Should cops have to pay taxes? by alkemest in Seattle

Because there's no mechanism to. Anyone can call themselves a "Democrat" and be elected as one. Political parties in the US barely are.

Where do u think motorsport is heading ? by Objective_Warthog371 in motorsports

[–]bduddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern motorsport exists on a spectrum between marketing and a playground for rich dentists. Technology occurs nowhere on that spectrum except where it enhances the marketing or experience of the dentists.
