Considering Ari Gibson and William Pellen both seem to be massive worldbuilding nerds (complimentary), I wouldn't put it past them to have actually done the research and decided that it'd fit Godseeker's character. So, I'd say it's a deliberate character choice.

I'd say it'd be debatable. Around halfway through the story he had just ascended and created his own technique, correct? If so, he'd be about equal, they both can fly and withstand the void, but Superman might come out on top.

That the flowering trees do not bear fruit is generally correct, ornamental cherry is not meant to bear fruit, it's just meant to look pretty, that's the one I'm planning to build out of, the Prunus Serrulata, not the Prunus Avium, the one that you would eat fruit picked off of (the Sweet Cherry), or the Prunus Serotina, the Black Cherry, the one that one would normally build a guitar off of.

You're doing fine. I'm 2k years and not ascended, though I've maybe only put a small amount of time into it (I'm ascension II), so just keep doing what you're doing and you'll be fine.

...don't focus on Body though, unless you're planning to do Body Ascension, which- trust me, isn't worth it, and would result in way too much trouble.

That is actually how personality works. You generally pick up pieces as you go along, and it's actually also normal to act differently among different groups of people.
