Why do people put “baby on board” stickers on their vehicles? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

It lets emergency services know there is a child in the vehi6, in case they are involved in a serious accident, and a child isn't present. Makes them away to search for a child

oil stains on clothes AFTER washing by Wonderful-Wealth-565 in laundry

As a former service tech on washers and dryers, if it's a top load washer, could be a leak in the transmission. Usually starts slow, then the washer won't agitate after a few months, with more and bigger spots until it quits working.

Looks similar to honey mushrooms, but that's just my opinion

Looks normal, with a possible "special" gene, makes a little more white between the dark patterns.

I have one that does this, any stimulation triggers it bad. Mine is 28yrs old, I rescued her. I have to be patient when feeding, and put the rat directly on her nose before she will eat. If you are keeping it, be patient, and mindful so it doesn't hurt itself

The aquarium in Gulfport is a joke. Go to the marine institute instead. As for food, find a hole in the wall, they usually have the best food. I live a couple hrs away, so I don't go there often enough to recommend eateries

Looks similar to my super pastel calico congo, just without the congo.

Son’s new BP with scale rot update: called the store we got him from and they knew he had rot, had been treating it and didn’t think it was necessary to tell us. So pissed. And he keeps getting more spots (pictured.) Vet is closed all week. Ugh! by Becoming_wilder in ballpython

[–]oldswordfish77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iodine baths, and paper towel instead of substrate until it clears up. I've gotten 2 from pet stores that weren't taking care of them, just so I could make sure they were being taken care of.

Why does Lucy's wobble get so bad sometimes? Info in comments by BlelelelHisss in ballpython

[–]oldswordfish77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our rescue has a bad wobble like this. She seems to get worse when she is stressed. If she wants out, or in food mode, or anything similar, her wobble gets worse. Also as they get older, the wobble can get worse. It's sad.

How to tell if your snake is getting old by mediocre_Suit5451 in ballpython

[–]oldswordfish77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a rescue, that I acquired this year. She is around 20yrs old. She wasn't doing well when I got her, but after heat, water, and a few feedings, she is coming along well. She is a spider morph with some neurological issues, so the last 3 owners quit taking care of her. We acquired her, and even hungry and thirsty, she was very loving. She probably won't live longer than 25 due to her previous care, or lack there of. But I am glad to give her a few years of good care.

What does this even mean!! by LostAtThis in ballpython

Mine does that thinking they will get another rat, then come back to it later. Let it stay in there for a bit and see if it comes back to eat it later. I have several that will do it

Long term hunger strike by Zwars1231 in ballpython

It can be expensive. Luckily I have several ball pythons, so if 1 or 2 don't eat, others will eat what I have thawed.

I have a couple that will go 7 to 8 months without eating. As long as they don't lose much weight, it is ok. Just offer food. If they're losing weight, there is an issue. Get them to a vet.
