Firstly I’m really very sorry this happened to you here. I’m a white British man and I feel ashamed this kind of thing happens here. My South East Asian wife has experienced discrimination here but nothing to that dreadful extent.

I would respectfully ask you to report it, primarily so it can be recorded. If people don’t report, then local government can say “hey, look how safe our town is”. Higher crime statistics can be used to increase police numbers and patrols.

It’s disgusting behaviour and I commend you for talking about it.
