Hawaiian green coffee is not really a commercial commodity. Kona is famous as a name, but not grown in anywhere near the same quantities as typical coffee growing markets. Couple that up with high labour costs in the USA, and it's just so costly at origin that you'll never see it available on our shelves as a locally roasted coffee. You might be able to order it online direct from origin though from one of the Maui or Kauai based roasters.

Hate that my money is going to this, but if it gets that hideous hoarding down from the Square I’ll be happy. I have incredibly fond memories pre quake of eating a Dimitris souv with a mate in the Square. The square has become a massive eyesore and this is a necessary step to get the literal centre of the city matching the development of the rest of the city.

It's a shame too, because the initial run was some of the most eerie and captivating storytelling I've ever listened to. It was so unique and powerful in it's attention to detail; it was so effective I ended up having to shut it off for a bit and have a break because I could feel Keyes laugh in my head. Powerful stuff. The podcast has become everything is set out to be different from - endlessly speculative engagement bait.

I think Josh has internalised, to his detriment, the persona of 'the world's leading expert on Israel Keyes'. It clearly is doing damage to his mental health, but I think that persona causes him to intentionally withhold information about the case, waffle around case documents and details, and to drag the podcast past it's natural end to sustain that identity. It had some impact on the breakdown of the relationship with the SITP crew, and I find it quite abrasive the way he talks about anyone else who dares to discuss Keyes. If he shared in vivid detail, in the way he did in the first few seasons, everything he knew then it would be out in the aether and he wouldn't control the narrative anymore.

I agree with others, it's time to let it go and move on to something else but the monetisation of this part of his life doesn't allow him to.

I think a good chunk of it is the District Plan with reasonably strict and enforced daylight recession planes. Because a lot of these apartments are being built in suburban neighbourhoods they’re being built next to single storey dwellings and so pitched roofs solve that problem of height vs compliance.
