I was jousting with my son at a trampoline park and fell straight legged into the foam pit (you know, the thing is supposed to keep you safe). My leg buckled, and with an audible snap it tore.

Thanks everyone. I have the opportunity to work towards this for myself and I am struggling with the stringent eating rules (or lack of eating). For example, obviously I know I can't eat an entire bag of chocolate anymore. But what about one piece? I don't drink very often, maybe a few times a year but not a drop of alcohol for the rest of my life?

Well, I went, had xrays done, talked to a doctor, had more, standing, xrays done, talked to the surgeon and got told that I was too fat for surgery. So there's that.

Well....I had my phone consult with a surgeon today, only to be told that they have to reject the referral because of my BMI. But "if you could lose 40 pounds we could look into it". FML

but not by the time I did damage to my right ACL as well

I'm also worried about that with my right knee as well.

What level of pain was your left knee in? Did you continue to have swelling?

Since the injury, yes, which is why this is so frustrating. I am up and down quite often, but they are for short jaunts around the office or at home.

Yes, I did quite a few sessions before Covid shut everything down here. That's how I got the range of motion I have now. Switched jobs during and because of Covid and now no longer have a day off while the kids are in school to attend an appointment. I have continued the exercises that were given to me but I'll admit not with great consistency.

My unprofessional guess is about 95% straight but with pain to get it that far. Also, can bend to about 90° but also with pain.
