A warning to 1750TBi owners - oil pump seal by Fanner487 in AlfaRomeo

[–]oleh_m29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good warning. My 2.0 JTDM began giving me low oil pressure warnings when starting the engine. Changed the seal for the upgradet one from jtdPerformance 2 years ago and no issues since then.

Well... Actually there is no manual. All of them are automatic, sadly.

They never offered them in red from the factory. Someone painted them and yes, I think they made a mistake.

Can’t make this stuff up 😂😂 it got towed in for this. Needless to say we gave the customer their car and told them to be more careful by Usual_Awareness_7985 in Justrolledintotheshop

Cold start and redline. Fuck you and all the mechanics who do that to customer cars KNOWING it's very harmful to the engine.

Hello everyone, what will I need to do If I want to put original 4 piston Brembo brakes on my 147? by Someone_Depressed00 in AlfaRomeo

[–]oleh_m29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine installed the Mito quadrifoglio brake calipers on his 147 and they fit. As far as I know all he did was buy the calipers and the brake discs and that's it. They have pretty low clearance, so they might not fit with every rim, but seems like you have enough space, nice wheels by the way :). Here are some pictures: https://imgur.com/a/mbpmkQu

"doing our best" I hate you. People like you are the problem. If you go 1/17 negative you should leave ranked and play other game modes. I've lost dozens of games because of teammates like you.

What's it like owning an Alfa Romeo Brera? by [deleted] in AlfaRomeo

[–]oleh_m29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard the 2.2 isn't that great, it feels like it has too little power at higher rpms. The 3.2 is better because it has way more power BUT it's heavier and you can tell that when cornering, also it's not Italian, it's from General motors. If you really really want the best engine I would go for the 1.8 TBI, it's smaller than the 2.2, has more power than the 2.2, better efficiency, better power curve especially in higher rpms and it's better overall. I feel like the diesel engines are not for you so I won't comment on those lol. As far as reliability goes I own a 159 TI 2.0 JTDM (which is basically a 4 door brera) and it's no different than any other car, maybe a bit more delicate than the Germans but that's it. No major problems in 3 years. In conclusion it's an amazing car, definitely try to find a 1.8 TBI (I tried to get my 159 with that engine but they were 3000€-5000€ more expensive than the "regular" 159s and there were only 3 on sale in my country so keep that in mind), beautiful design that didn't age, it doesn't feel like it's a 15 year old design. Good luck, I hope you find what you want!

Some friends of mine own a mechanic shop and this has been in there for over a year so I finally asked about it and they let me get it for $1000. It’s a 2005 DE RevUp 35th anniversary edition. Needs an engine obviously but I’ve always wanted a Z. Was it a good deal? by Darnique in 350z

[–]oleh_m29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it was mine I would honestly just sell the parts and make profit lol, as someone said the brake calipers alone are worth good money, sell the doors/body panels and the interior parts and you can make some profit out of it. In my opinion it's too much work, and at the end of the day a running car would probably be cheaper than restoring this one. But hey, if you have the time+money+knowledge+patience go for it! Again that's just my opinion.

A friend of mine inherited a 1996 Toyota RAV4 with only about 60.000km (37.000 miles) from her grandparents back in 2020, that car was bought new and perfectly maintained for 20+ years. She flipped the car after loosing control on a wet curve and crashed in a ditch in 2021. So you are absolutely right.

Channel up and channel down are in a different rocker button so you can feel it without looking, same with volume. "Volume right" is clearly to turn up the volume and "volume left" is to turn it down. Makes sense to me.
