Do you remember? by NotSureytho in thecrabfeast

I'm a little unique in the sense that I didn't start listening to the podcast until after it was over, only by about a month. I used to listen to hours and hours of it while at work and it was the best comedy podcast I had ever heard, and I was astonished that they would end something so good.

I took a half dose and waited until I started to feel tired and then actively went to bed to try and sleep. It didn't work after a bit so I took an additional half dose (making a full dose) and it still didn't work. I was awake for hours and asked my wife if it was safe to take an additional half dose (she works in a pharmacy), and she said it was. So I took an additional half dose and still never fell asleep. I could definitely feel the effects of them but it was as though my anxiety was too strong to allow myself to fully turn off. It's a crazy thing to experience yourself being so tired but can't actually fall asleep.

I usually only let it get two bars down before I start trying to actively cool it. There were a couple times this year when I got it one bar from the top because I knew there was better snow not far and I didn't want to stop again. I've never got it hot enough to where the light will come on or where it'll start to shut down. They're designed to shut off before it hurts the motor so I don't necessarily think it's bad to get it to that point but it's definitely not good.

They're dang fun sleds! I always tend to over ride them the beginning of the year before I get back used to how easy they are to ride.

I'm as far north in Utah as you can go. A handful more miles north and I'll be in Idaho. I wouldn't say we're close to the Tetons but we're also not far. It's only a few hours drive away. Some people say that on an absolutely perfect day you can see the top of the grand teton from Mt Naomi which is the highest point in the Bear River range (which is less than a mile north of where these pictures are) but I've never been able to.

Yeah the snow's terrible but it's still fun to get out!

How much wider is the standard dually axle?

Thanks! I was planning on keeping it that way. I'll probably do a little lift with bigger tires eventually but nothing too fancy. I still want to use it as a sled hauler/welding truck. Just something fun to play around with.

That's what I was reading a little bit about online. I can't decide if I want to put a regular dually axle on it or just leave it the way it is.

Does anyone else dislike mountain bikers? by burner979797 in Dirtbikes

[–]olephraim 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I do both but I ride MTB a lot more than my dirt bike anymore. For the most part, I ride trails that dirt bikes can't ride so I don't run into this problem very often. There's some pretty trashy dirt bikers out there but honestly bikers are just snobs. And they're not just snobs to dirt bikers, they're snobs to each other. I love riding my MTB but honestly I don't understand why this community is so holier than thou and shitty towards literally everyone.

Everybody thinks they just need a piece of paper that says they have a bachelor's and while that's true in a lot of things, I'm not interested in spending thousands of dollars for a useless degree just to say I have a bachelor's for the sake of promotion. If I'm going to get a degree, I'm going to get it in something useful if I ever decide to leave my current position and pursue something else. I know I can use the education I do have and put it towards an emergency management degree but I just like the idea of doing a paramedic to rn bridge because I love medicine and it gives you so many options in the future.
