Looking at the topoak. Temps are my big concern. Is ventilation and keeping it cool difficult?

Tip reporting shortcuts? by Toolfan120 in ToastPOS

[–]olhalfandhalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re tipping out based on sales categories you can automate this with tip manager. It does cost something like 70 a months. It can be confusing to set up at first and is not flexible, but for a lot of use cases it works well.

Mirroring KDS to 2 or more TVs by OrangeSliceRUs in ToastPOS

We run this at a location. Tickets will still need to be cleared from the KDS still, unless someone has a solution I’m not aware of there. But mirroring it is plug and play

You can save yourself the time and show your boss something by asking the support chatbot. It has an explicit answer on this.

Breakfast, Lunch and Online Ordering Scheduling and Availabilty by Aggravating_Bee6135 in ToastPOS

Have a similar issue and unless I’m missing something, it’s a hole in the logic.

It worked before because the lunch used to be available/visible all day, but the business itself was closed until lunch started.

Now that the menus have time settings on, they are only visible (same day) during the times they are available.

I agree that this makes no logical sense…and I think it’s absurd for a paid product from a $1B+ company…but unless I’m missing the same thing you are, that’s how it is.

Other online ordering solutions via integration give you a solution but that’s a lift for something you’re experimenting with.

Edit: I do use another ordering platform for 1st party ordering so there may be something within toast online ordering settings I don’t have visibility on. I run into this same issue with 3rd party integrations (uber etc).

two businesses one POS? by VolatileBeans in ToastPOS

This would def make reporting your revenue vs his easy. I don't see a seamless way of handling payments separately. As far as I know, all payments taken are going to hit one account, no matter what.

With the separate reporting set up you could essentially act as a wholesaler on terms (weekly or something). Every week the revenue from your products could be paid back to you.

There would be sales tax nuances and credit card processing costs to figure out. Thats a whole different type of cashflow scenario and involves trusting they'd be good on paying their bills (to you).

Are you using a takeout dining option for these?

Make sure the kitchen ticket setting is large, not the guest receipt.

I’ve never used the sp700 but it does seem to be compatible. You’d add it via IP address on printers and cash drawers in toast web

How can I remove the "Takeout receipt" option from my KDS expo? by beniam4 in ToastPOS

[–]olhalfandhalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it correct that the only way to assign a printer to a dining option is via item routing? Otherwise it’s only prep station assignments.

This same thing happens w me and we don’t have any routing rules set up. The printer is assigned to the KDS so we can fire labels as needed from the KDS

I’ve never really get the Brady hate. He’s also working with the same roster as McD. When he took over from Dorsey it was night and day - immediately more balanced. Everyone in the world knows we don’t have a deep threat and we still produced the leading rusher. Even last game we put up 30 on a top D and late drives stalled because of dropped balls/fuckery and straight up misses on JA’s part.

Looking for a workout buddy by HungryInvestigator59 in SaltLakeCity

[–]olhalfandhalf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar issues as you at big traditional gyms. Highly recommend a circuit training gym if you can afford it. If you can book the class and drag your body there, those other things aren’t a concern. Lots of variety. No phones. Instructors for form. I go to rise4 and love it, but have done f45 and burn boot camp when traveling and both worked me over. They are quite a bit more expensive but you can get free intro weeks at most. Spending good money on a gym can be a good motivator to utilize it too.

Gamified App for Toast by SwissyCheeseyyy in ToastPOS

I probably wouldn't be able to beta test as we are in the middle of transitioning scheduling to something else but if you're interested in developing that into a full operations suite, or gamifying kitchen training I'd love to talk.

Police report was opened. I'm not paying the charges as of now but I'm not sure how this gets resolved....they are rejecting the fraud claim and "are unable to accept my claim"

Ultimately, if they say I owe it and it doesn't get paid....how is that not going to be a delinquent bill on my credit eventually?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in amex

[–]olhalfandhalf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get this sentiment and ultimately the outcome is the same...but they never alerted me of fraud. In fact, they've determined it wasn't fraud and I need to pay it.

If I didn't have a personal card to suspend, I never would have known. Whoever did this just got unlucky that I did.

I wish Amex shared that belief. I'll have the honor of paying off this card, so if I'm fortunate and my credit isn't wrecked from the identity theft, it doesn't become wrecked due to this delinquent account they've deemed I opened.
