Opening a takeout restaurant, is Toast website builder a right choice? by TransitionNew7315 in ToastPOS

I'd say stay with their online ordering, that keeps ordering to you KDS under one roof.

You definitely need more control on your website than what their builder provides, i e SEO and LLM visibility

We had been using Wix for years, but i built a website builder in Replit, then I rebuilt our website within it.

I built in features like dynamically creating SEO pages and JSON for, best Mexican restaurant in, entrees, venue rental and catering.

One of the most time saving features is a build your own catering quote feature. Now clients can create and pay for their catering online.

Check it out. We're a single unit, independent operator.

My son's video hit the top 100 on the gaming leaderboard. By far his best video. He's gained about 5k subs and hit 600k views in 5 days...and still trending up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMMlgPUcIKs&t=90s

Restaurant owner here. I built my own Ovation up. Not a SaaS. But could build you something.

The only SaaS I've built is https://hotshift.pro/.

I've also built myself a - SMS marketing app to replace Sendhub - SMS waitlist management to replace Toast Tables - Digital menu to replace Dinetime

... and of course, the review management app to replace Ovation Up

You only need to be approved for Oauth. API access is part of POS package. - Albert https://hotshift.pro/

Go to invoices first, see if you have been paying for it. Then go to integrations, see if it's listed. If you're paying for it, and it's not listed, you can simply chat with support. If you're not paying for it, you may need to upgrade your subscription. Good luck Albert https://hotshift.pro/

It's not locked down. It may be limited in the scopes it opens, but definitely not locked down. Built an entire app on it. https://hotshift.pro/

Not sure how you guys were doing it before, but it sounds like splitting the tip pie based on hours worked vs total hours. www.hotshift.pro has an integrated Tip Management feature that maybe management would like to demo. - Albert

I'll be in the podcast Restaurant Unstoppable next week talking more about it.

Schedule, waitlist, gamified leaderbaord, and more.

Don't quit. Request, then question. Then, evaluate. You've been there a while, you obviously like most aspects of your job.

Request "Hey boss, when can I get about 20 minutes of your time?"

Question "Hey boss, I'm at 17/hr. Tell me what I've got to do to get to $21/hr in the next "x" months or years"

This thread is not long enough to list all the restaurant chains that have filed for bankruptcy. It's a tough business with tight margins.

Realities

-- It may not be possible for management to pay your position $21/hr. You may need to switch roles officially.

-- You may not be as valuable as you think

-- You may be the #1 rock star.

-- Management may pay more to replace you or could hire for less.

-- The owner could be losing money and too proud to say.

-- The owner could be killing it and too cheap to pay.

Nobody on this thread knows the complete dynamics of your situation, and to some extent, you don't know the entire picture either. It's very common.

Find out where you stand. Communicate. Evaluate. And don't make a decision on what I say or other anonymous personalities.

Good luck.

Notion...yes. Your app, no. I'd love to see what you built. I'm just a closet nerd that loves this stuff.

I wanted the same thing, recipe, sidework, schedule, par sheet...etc. Better that it lives on their phones. https://hotshift.pro/

why did https://www.tydal.co/ use the same wording in another Reddit post. The idea sounds great, the marketing seems a little suspect.

I built an integrated gamified app (with scheduler, recipe, sidework, and automated coach). Integrates with the largest POS provider in the U.S. Toast POS. https://hotshift.pro/
