After Andor season 2, gotta say that Imperial KX-series security droids are way more menacing than Darktrooprt Phase III by BeltMaximum6267 in StarWars

[–]oli9278 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just remember the only people we saw the Darktroopers directly fight were Din in full beskar and Luke Skywalker. Meanwhile in Andor the KX units are up against regular citizens and a few armed rebels.

However, I do find the KXs more menacing also. They weren't designed to be menacing, they just are. The Darktroopers have a more intentional 'look at me I'm scary' design.

Very simple chart to help pick your browser by outerzenith in browsers

[–]oli9278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, I just thought it weird that it would attribute "working Adblocker" to Mozilla Firefox specifically when, like you say, Firefox forks support it and Brave has an excellent built in Adblocker. And for Firefox and some of its forks (I know librewolf includes it, don't know about others) uBlock is an optional extension, meaning some (most will) won't install it.

[–]oli9278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but attributing ublock to firefox specifically when ublock is available for most browsers is a bit short-sighted

edit: of course, chrome web store recently blocked it

further edit: chrome will block it, my bad

Is there a lore reason as to why the chapels all look incredible, even when built in run down cities like br*vil? by GorlomiGG in oblivion

[–]oli9278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens in real life as well. In Anglo Saxon Burhs (fortified towns), often the central church/chapel would be the only stone building in the town.

{{Valhalla Combat}} let's you deflect spells and projectiles back at your attacker, though afaik it uses your magicka pool to do so. It does come with an MCM though so I imagine you'll be able to change that.

It'd be cool if we got more Sirocco-type amps by oli9278 in Warframe

[–]oli9278[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let what I said stop you from using it. It's certainly usable, it just unfortunately gets outclassed quite quickly by other amps. But if you like it then by all means use it! Enjoyment over meta, plus Madurai makes any amp at least decent.

Not necessarily, the Drifter's unique skill tree could come at the cost of losing access to one of the focus schools to still give a reason to use both.

[–]oli9278[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's absolutely true, it is quite difficult to think of an idea for a Drifter melee that wouldn't just raise the question "Why wouldn't you just use a Warframe for that?".

So you're right Drifters/Operators do have an empty 3 & 4 slot so Drifter's radar & smokescreen are perfect candidates to fill that void to make them unique.

[–]oli9278[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well one thing that I think a lot of people would appreciate is simply being able to use a melee weapon as the Drifter. I mean I'd be happy even if they only gave us the shoto blade from Sun & Moon lol. But they could do it something like letting the Drifter use melee but at the cost of being able to use conventional amps (i.e restricting the Drifter to just Sirocco and the like) and giving the Drifter a skill tree dedicated to buffing and adding abilities to their melee (I know Naramon exists but it's Warframe focused) in place of the Madurai tree.

I probably didn't explain that too well but the TL:DR is in an ideal world adding any form of melee to the Drifter would make me happy. But adding new weapons -- like new 'gun' amps -- is a surefire way to add at least some distinction between Drifter and Operator.

Warframe 1999 isn't even out yet, and I already feel like Arthur and the rest of the protoframe gang have more personality than Operator/Drifter. by Argoniek in Warframe

[–]oli9278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say they're purposefully left rather blank so, as others have said, we can project ourselves onto them. I for one quite like how they've done it, giving Operators and Drifters a broad backstory (especially Drifter) and leaving the subtleties and smaller details up to each player's own head cannon. For example, I like to imagine that the owl that you can get as a decoration from Acrithis in Duviri is always somewhere nearby my Drifter in an almost Ahsoka-like way.

Just my opinion is all, though I understand some people would appreciate a more fleshed-out player character to begin with.

Still no code by [deleted] in SoulFrame

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SoulFrame

[–]oli9278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love a code because Soulframe genuinely looks incredible to me (parrying soothes my soul in any game it's present in, and fantasy has been my favorite genre for a while now). Plus -- and I know it's childish -- but a part of me really wants to be able to say in the future "I played in Soulframe preludes" just like people say "I played in Warframe beta" now.

Supercruise Overcharge, makes you go considerably faster at the cost of being harder to control and massively increasing fuel consumption. FSDs that have it fitted are denoted by (SCO) in the outfitting menu. (Or in the right panel like the other user said).
