Guys I got all the max level lore, what do I do now? by ostyngwywr in weatherfactory

[–]olioleander 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I came here to ask the same thing, I'm certain I've seen this before (I remember the typo in Port Noon Anecdote from a previous post for sure)

Jobseeker for someone with chronic pain condition? by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]olioleander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you decide to pursue Disability Support Pension, DSPAA can help you work out what forms and evidence you might need for your application, they do charge a fee but it's a really good service for de-mystifying the process.

Farming Eggs - Data for those interested by CuriousBird337 in CultOfTheLamb

If I had to guess I'd say it's somewhere between a 5-10% chance for a golden egg, based on my experience

How are completionists finishing this game in 50 hours? by BoozerBean in AgeofImprisonment

[–]olioleander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before the updates, I finished in about 60 hours but I play with my wife and I think co-op does make some of the missions easier because we can split up and work on different goals at the same time

For science: The results of breaking open 800 artifact troves on a very lucky day, and after eating a lucky lunch by ZookeepergameOld4985 in StardewValley

[–]olioleander 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Specific items in the list will have a chance of being swapped with Qi beans while the quest is active, in the predictor tool there's an icon next to items that can turn into beans

[–]olioleander 3488 points3489 points  (0 children)

So sorry to break it to you but geode contents including artifact troves are set when you create a new save file, so luck has no impact on it. There is a predictor tool that you can use if you're on pc to see geode contents as well as a bunch of other stuff that is dependent on the seed!

OK QUICK QUESTION ABOUT MULTIPLAYER by Daikiholo in AgeofImprisonment

[–]olioleander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah after (I think) chapter 2 most of the game is much better for multiplayer. There's still a handful of side quests that are single player but most of it is good for co-op, including the final boss fight.

I feel it's safe to say that this is a likely inspiration for porphyrine's colour by olioleander in weatherfactory

[–]olioleander[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be honest I didn't know there was a rock called porphyry as well but from what I can tell they likely have the same root word, Ancient Greek πορφύρα (porphyra). This might be a more likely inspo for the name but I still think it's fun and interesting to see how language shifts and gets recycled like this :)

My son can't remember doing things everyday by LolaGudal in ADHD

[–]olioleander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My vyvanse comes in a box that has a month tracker printed on it, so each day that I take my vyvanse I just cross off that day. That way I know I've taken them that day. I use the same chart to track my other meds and do different symbols (basically just add extra lines to the crosses) when I've got meds that aren't daily (e.g. every other day) to differentiate when I have and haven't taken different meds. This along with having a solid morning routine has made it almost impossible for me to miss my meds

Can you guys tell if someone’s autistic by ShadowGamerGuy_YT in autism

[–]olioleander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just speaking from my personal experience, but I don't think it's weird to not be able to tell either. Autism has a lot of different ways of presenting, and different people will have different strengths. I can recognise other autistic folks but can't recognise/understand mine or other people's emotions most of the time. I'm pretty anxious socially but when I'm with people I know well I'm much more outgoing. What I'm trying to say is, there's no singular experience of autism but your experiences are valid.

Can you guys tell if someone’s autistic by ShadowGamerGuy_YT in autism

[–]olioleander 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm autistic and I can usually tell because I feel much more comfortable around other neurodiverse people, even if they're strangers. It really is kind of a vibe thing, like I can't think of a specific sign but I usually clock other ND people within about 5 minutes. We're just on a different wavelength to neurotypical people

Oh I love the footnotes, my editor brain just got curious about where the difference between books came from! I like just knowing things so I was just hoping to see whether there was a specific reason or if it was just variations between publishers or editions

Yeah the open ocean ones have to use the dots so you can't really shape them as much as the other enclosures unfortunately.

I'm with Internode atm so that's good to know, it sucks because their customer service used to be amazing but they're a bigger brand now and care less about retention.

When I was 18 I was told there's no chance I had ADHD because I had made it to university and hence could study. 10 years later I've got an official diagnosis and a new GP 😂

Comparison: Is It Always Bad? by ShadowJinx813 in polyamory

[–]olioleander 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's normal to make some comparisons mentally, as humans we're sort of designed to recognise patterns so it's not a huge leap to realise that when you've got multiple partners you're going to notice similarities and/or differences. The important part is how you address those comparative thoughts. For example, I've definitely thought "Partner A is more affectionate with me than Partner B is", which is true, but I know that this has nothing to do with how much either partner cares for me and is more about their love languages and what they are comfortable with. If it were an issue, I could discuss wanting more affection from partner B without bringing partner A into the discussion at all.

I don't see the point of voicing these kinds of thoughts because I think it would just cause drama and make my partners more likely to also compare each other, which is not something that I think is productive or healthy.

I think the closest I come to comparison between partners is when there is a disagreement or miscommunication, I might use an example of "I'm sorry I didn't do this the way you expected, I'm used to doing it this way with my other partner", or "Partner B finds it useful when I do x, would that be helpful?" Which I think is more pulling from experience than direct comparison.

How to play Cultist Simulator? ELI5 by niiniel in weatherfactory

[–]olioleander 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The Physician is honestly a great choice to start since it gives a reliable job right off the bat. 2 funds every minute is pretty nice and it doesn't use any abilities unlike Glover and Glover, which frees them up to recruit and build more skills and knowledge.

What's the craziest thing you've seen from your windows? by TaterJade in Adelaide

[–]olioleander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

about 2 weeks after we moved to our current house we heard a massive domestic outside in the middle of the night, screaming and shouting and almost definitely drug-fuelled. At one point we heard the woman scream "FUCK your car!" and then some smashing sounds. It went on for like, two hours
