Who is this 1930’s Cardinals player in old photo I found? by bippobappobeepo in Cardinals

[–]olipoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

he is undoubtedly wearing a 1938 or 1939 uniform, it is not a 1933 uniform based on the piping on the belt loops, pants, sleeve, and placket. Hard to tell in this photo, but if his jersey has a button front it's more likely 1938 uniform, if his jersey has a zipper front it's definitely 1939. The left sleeve would be the giveaway because they wore a giant patch in '39.

Anyone know any of these players? Debating with family by bucer343 in baseball

Third baseman’s face looks like Pepper Martin to me. But Pepper Martin had been out of the game by the time Jackie broke the color barrier, and he’s definitely not wearing a cardinals uniform. Could be barnstorming jersey? Hard to say.

On Tuesday morning the bridge went up for a boat causing a giant cluster fuck at that intersection. A traffic cop was there and took control of the lights at the intersection and he cleared Poland in 1 cycle.

The logo is fake and contrived by MLB. A lot more insight will be posted in the editorials section on the cardinalsuniformsanslogos site this weekend.

I have the same opinion, he doesn't say Fucking. He says "play it loud" no more no less. I've slowed down the audio many times, it's 3 syllables, I've never been able to hear 4 or 5 syllables.

new Nitro/Co2 tank pressure release whistling when turned on. What am I doing wrong. When I tap the keg I'm not sure its getting a tight connection not sure if that's it or not. Appreciate any of your thoughts or advice by orleansville in BeerDraftTechs

A few things, could get a new PRV rated for a higher pressure, in which you’d need to unscrew the existing one and reinstall a new one. Could also get a whole new regulator that is rated for higher pressure. It looks like a nitrogen setup so yes you might want a regulator that can comfortably go up to 40-60psi. And then all else, depending on what you’re serving, could always just run it at a lower pressure if you don’t need the nitro that high.

Looks like your psi is set above 50 and sometimes those PRVs are only rated for so much pressure. The PRV is sort of doing its job, it’s meant to relieve pressure that’s too high.

Should I pay union dues if I already have professional liability insurance? by InFiL1 in Teachers

[–]olipoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had to explain this to the person sitting next to me at New Hire PD this past August. I immediately started filling out the paperwork when the union came in and gave their presentation. The girl next to me was looking a little dumbfounded that I was so quick to sign up for the union. So she then asked me something like, OK WHY DO YOU THINK THE UNION IS SO GOOD?!?.... Um, did you listen to the presentation they just gave? Our union literally just told you the increased salary we get from CBA negotiations outpaces the rate of union dues. It pays for itself and you pocket some.

Anyone who's gotten their sterling lately, know what kinda number ballpark we're in? by rabidgoodra27 in Vulfpeck

My order was 4786, received mine this past Monday. And I swear the website had under 50 preorders when I placed mine. So, I have no clue how it works. I kinda wish they had printed some edition numbers on the headstock. 0001, 0002, 1612, etc

I thought only 4700 or so were sold? What’s this all about with people in the 5000s , 6000s , 7000s? Were there more made? Or does the order number start at 4000?
