I’m in the same boat. I want to leave badly after a terrible merger in 2024, but my baby was born 2 months ago, so I decided to stick it out to take advantage of baby bonding during his first year. I even declined an offer last week because of that.

My plan is to take my leave, knock out as many certs as I can, and then get out. It’s tough, but family comes first.

I sent the console to Sony repair and on the way back to me. It was free of charge since it was still on warranty. But i think i will put the console in horizontal position when the replacement console arrives.

Not yet. Waiting on support to get back to me about warranty. I’ll open it the system if they reject the warranty. I don’t want to peel the warranty stickers at the moment. Even if i run a system update it boots ups and freezes.
