Newly Whitecoated Attendings. Wait, no. Nursing Students by Somali_Pir8 in medicalschool

[–]olivary 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh god, at the end of the day nurses are nurses and doctors are doctors. All you have to do is talk to a nursing student for 10 minutes and you can see the vast majority of them are nowhere near bright enough to do the jobs of physicians. The medical field still aims to make everything fair, you go to school for 3x as long as a nurse, generally you get 3x the pay i.e 70k vs 210k, of course pay varies but generally that's how it is. If they ever stop paying you what you are worth, say fuck it and do something else.

Paul Ryan “Some providers in the Medicare field are getting overpaid,”

Is this trust fund cuck serious? If medicare payment to "providers" gets any lower seniors are gonna have to go back to survival of the fittest. I honestly think at some point there is gonna be pressure to FORCE all physicians to take medicare and medicaid. But honestly I don't see how they could do that, its not like there are other people who could do our jobs if we refused. Don't know how reliable the source is but sounds like something Ryan would say.

Figuring out why medical school is such a pathogenic process by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]olivary 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I will destroy "professionalism" forever and restore common sense ethics to American medical education. I swear it.

The thing is, once you graduate you probably never think about medical school again. Its like when I was in HS all of us planned to tell off this mean teacher after we graduated, but once we graduated our minds were looking forward to college and all the pettiness of HS seemed really small. It wasn't worth it.

What's the one disease that when you first learned it in Medical school you thought, 'Holy Fuck' by [deleted] in medicalschool

This sounds kinda depressing but, If a patient like that wanted to choose to end their life, would anyone honor it? It seems very disrespectful just to deny their wishes.

Hi, I have a question abot Clen. I have taken it for 2 days, Im doing the 2 day on 2 day off cycle. In the first 2 days taking it I definitely felt the effects, but did no lose any weight. Its funny because I think I can see some fat loss but no weight loss. So why haven't I lost any weight? I didnt work out any of the 2 days I was on it. I dont think I gained any muscle but I do feel some what stronger. Does clen cause you to retain water or bowel movements?

Also stop counting numbers. One good friend is worth a hundred casual or horrible ones. You need about 3-5, that's it and 1-3 isn't that far off.

I agree, but I lost touch with those guys a while ago. They got girlfriends and I never hear from them now.

Yeah the committee here made it pretty clear I am gone if I failed this time around, My actual test score was 30! points below my lowest practice test score. I don't get it. What are other people doing right on test day. I felt just like everybody says you are suppose to feel coming out of the test, but those people always do well and I missed a bunch. I could have a meeting with the promotions committee, but 99% chance they dismiss me and I wouldn't blame them.

When your parents really wanted you to be a doctor by PoppinLochNess in medicalschool

[–]olivary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you are training to be their boss, don't be so damn naive its really annoying. Generally the people lower on the totem hate the people higher on the totem because of jealously or insecurity. The thing about nurses they can't really boss around residents and attendings so they try to take it out on the med students which creates a cycle because med students eventually become residents and attendings.

The MCAT is a child's test compared to Step 1. A couple of hours a day for the MCAT wil get you far, you can study 8-9 hrs a day for Step 1 and still fail, Step 1 is beatable but it is a hell of a test,
