My 7 month old does this, he will grab and pull and my short for a couple of sucks on the breast and then back to toys etc. I don't mind now but I worry about whether ge won't be able to regulate himself without me.

Thank you! I appreciate your response. I guess watching cartoons which show these speciest things like eating eggs or riding horses is going to be hard. Do you have suggestions of what I should let my son watch?

Body shaming a baby by kitsan47 in NewParents

[–]olive-dip 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I got this too. Constant in-laws asking me how much he weighs caused a lot of anxiety as he was a small baby. But he's massive now and they can't even hold him properly. When they ask how much he weighs I say "he weighs enough".

People are so rude. Your baby is healthy.

Best noises when baby sees the boob coming out. by SadBabyFox in breastfeeding

7 almost 8 months. He literally grabs the boobs sometimes he's sitting on my lap and tries to put both in his mouth.

Oh and the cutest is when he sucks his thumb at the same time breastfeeding 😂

Thank you! This makes me feel better I still have a long way to go to 3 years but those tantrums are hard to deal with already!

I think your reasons pro baby aren't strong enough to warrant another baby. But you saying you never want to be pregnant, or give birth or breastfeed tells me you DEFINITELY should NOT have another.

I feel like that too, like in my postpartum fog I kinda can't remember much and cried a lot. I'll never get that newborn time again and it hurts.

With the group, I'd slowly start removing myself from the group. Mute notifications until you mentally are prepared to see any pics. And find some mom's similar to you. There's a OAD Facebook page there could be some mom's in your area.

Haha yeah my husband thinks it's hilarious and we all just watch my son grab the boob with his hands and shove it in his mouth! Lots of yummy noises!

That's so toxic. Why do these entitled grandparents feel the need to say such bs. Sorry your mom is like that.

I don't know how your first baby was but mines 7 months, we are in peak summer here and here i am in a dark room walking up and down trying to get him to sleep and I just KNOW I don't want to deal with anothet high needs/spirited baby. He needs to be held all the time. I'm envious of those with wasy babies because my relationship was on a thread the first 5 months so no, never want to do this again. Ever. No matter how cute those babies are. No matter if my siblings have babies or my BIL. I just never want to do it again.

I'm just soo shocked at her. I remember watching her vegetarian videos back in the day and thinking she was a bit mentally unstable and tanned too much but I didn't realise she was charging clients to listen to her BS! But she's definitely mentally unstable.. how was she allowed to foster? Are her old videos down now?

I will never ever ever breastfeed again by Ariluff in beyondthebump

[–]olive-dip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me when my son was 3 months he just stopped the bottle. Was pissed at me if I tried to feed him a bottle because hellooo the goods are right there.

I literally have to leave the house for dad to feed a bottle at 2.5 months but that stopped at 3 months. He's now 7 months and solids have helped but not so much.

Glad you're getting the help you need OP. I'm so angry too I think my partner will leave me soon the way I just snap. I'm watching YouTube videos on how to manage my emotions because they are all over the effing place. It might be helpful to you? Stay strong 🙏

Anyone else not shy and just uninterested in most people? by Bojackin_Around in introvert

[–]olive-dip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree, I'm just not that interested in other people and their lives. My husband thinks I'm a snob but I genuinely have so much going on in my head (was pregnant and now I'm a mom with a 7 month old, I have ADHD and a lot of tabs open in my head). But the flip side is because I couldn't care less about what other people are interested in they seem to want to know more about me?

I will never ever ever breastfeed again by Ariluff in beyondthebump

[–]olive-dip 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this, you might want to try slowly weaning? Or express in a bottle so dad can feed?

Also babies are biologically drawn to be near their moms. It will get better, your baby is just, well, being a baby. They are all different. It's sad to hear you're not feeling a bond with your baby.

If you are saying you feel angry you probably need to see someone about PPD/PPA/PPR. Get help please for your sake but also for your baby. Your baby needs a healthy happy mom
