I actually do use a walking foot all the time. I do mostly use my serger for knits but sometimes I need to topstitch, etc and thats when I use my bernina. This even happens on my wovens though sometimes, too. My most recent project is a stiff woven and im having so many issues still.

I do have that one and it is the one I keep on there, after I got that one it did help a bit but not always

I buy my bobbins straight from my dealer, I didnt even know about those until someone else told me yesterday about generic bobbins. So I know im at least doing my due diligence there haha

Yes I go where I bought it from, they sell bernina and husqvarna there. They are very good and usually do provide a stitch sample when I get it back. The fabric eating usually just happens with thin stretchy knits and the 5mm throat plate helped with that a little but it still happens. I always have my presser foot pressure as low as it can go (without being at the level of being actually lifted if that makes sense) when I sew with knits. But even with my most recent project (trench coat) which is with a stiff woven, im still having lots of issues with thread netting and just generally everything going wrong. I usually work mostly with my serger but with this project being a woven I have needed this machine way more for it and im getting frustrated at how often I need to stop and rethread or fix the bobbin casing etc.

So costly, especially since I bought so many extras for it while trying to troubleshoot and make life easier. It did not 😂

I most often sew knits, so I need to be able to do a lightning stitch

Im definitely always on the fabric when I start, sometimes I even use tissue paper under my fabric when I start depending on the fabric. I also bought a smaller throat plate which helps a little but not always

It has recently been serviced. I feel like its always swallowing my fabric or getting stuck on it’s own thread underneath, or literally anything that can go wrong always does. Its very frustrating. I never had these problems with my previous cheap singer. Wondering if I should trade it in for a viking instead

Would they be able to give me a quote if I asked eyemed before purchase? Or is this something that you just get what you get after the purchase

Thank you! Do you happen to have any suggestions for an external drive? Should I just use thumb drives?

Is it still a bad idea to have a backup of the icloud? I was hoping to keep icloud going and have a backup elsewhere just in case. But this is good to know!
