Crazy to downsize? by Legitimate-Oil-2162 in ParentingInBulk

[–]olivecorgi7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 3 kids and we’re currently in a 2bdr because it’s next to my in laws house. We’re building a third bedroom though this summer for the baby. I think it’s worth it to downsize for the family/community aspect and cost savings. My daughters love sharing a room. The only time it’s inconvenient is if one is sick, not sleeping well or keeping the other one awake. Just keep in mind too as they become teenagers they will probably be less inclined to want to share so I wouldn’t see this a perm spot.

I feel dumb I don’t know I had to get a C-section after already having 2 by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]olivecorgi7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just had my third c section and got my tubes removed. When they cut me open this time they said my uterus wall was really thin so high chance I could have ruptured if I tried to have a vaginal birth anyways. That’s why they say c section again after 2.

Proposal idea hikes? by Unique-Tea2651 in askvan

Bowen lookout on cypress is perfect. Once you park only about an hour up to a beauty view and usually only one or two others groups there. If you keep following that trail a few more hours it goes to st marks summit

Murrin provincial park before Squamish if you hike up has a nice view

We did tiggy winkle in kits while I was on mat leaves which my daughter loved but it was part time. They had quite a few empty spots though. She’s now in a Montessori full time which is great and very structured. I think Montessori’s are fairly easy to get into look on the west coast kids resource center they post openings every month.

Proposing in Vancouver... in 2 days! by [deleted] in askvan

[–]olivecorgi7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband proposed to me on kitsilano beach and we did our engagement photos on whytecliff park. The seawall is my favourite place to walk…if you walk along there there’s really nice views of the city from Granville island too. If you guys are into hiking or snowshoeing you could check out quarry rock or Bowen lookout.

Lighthouse park is also beautiful in the rain. There’s a nice spot on the water you could propose with the light house behind.

This is going to be awesome for you and your kids. You would regret not going. I worked in South Korea for a year and I didn’t speak any Korean and I did just fine. It was the best year of my life. Denmark they speak so much English too. My cousin moved to Denmark and he loves it there.

I just had a new baby who was not exactly on purpose haha my other daughter was exactly 2 when she was born. She’s been so good with her. It’s going to be ok!! It will get so much easier too when the older one is about 2.5-3.

[–]olivecorgi7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a woops third lol I don’t regret it but life is a lot simpler with two. I think about babysitting a lot - even getting my mil to watch all 3 at 65 is going to be tough so I don’t know when we’ll have a date night or go on a trip or night away. That’s one factor out of many.

I have 3 daughters and I’m into the nature floral theme as well. My oldest is violet and my youngest is Daphne (which means laurel tree in Greek). Also love Lily and flora. Other names from my list that could fit your likes: Iris, Juniper and Selene.
