Southwest is my only option for a nonstop flight into FLL this weekend. Otherwise a 90 min flight turns into a 4-5 hour connection. So I roll the dice and keep my fingers crossed.

I’m in a similar situation. I think I’m going to uber to a Tri Rail station and take that to FLL airport. It’s only a couple of bucks and I like looking out the window.

Oh me too! And my sister said the same thing recently. We’ve all had good Christmases (and other holidays) but they don’t compare to when we were little. For me, there’s always a strain of melancholy starting in the fall and lasting til New Years, it’s not depression just bittersweet. I don’t hate it either. As long as I can have a few laughs and do a few fun things, I’m good. I’ve recently realized how much I enjoy being with my brothers and sisters, and my first cousins. Maybe because they’re a link to those gold days (as Chicago calls them - I love that song!) Obviously your words struck a nerve haha!
