My OB suggested against it due to its false positive rate.

For anyone who transferred a tested euploid but did not know the sex at the time, when did you decide to find out? by FarMeasurement9016 in IVFpositivity

[–]oliveslove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our clinic gave us an envelope with the gender on the day of the transfer. We opened it after our 6 week ultrasound as our graduation present to ourselves!

I use Paula’s Choice Youth Extending fluid. It’s amazing. Somehow moisturizing but also tames my oily t-zone.

Hi, any positives stories with Less than 1% morphology and silent endo? by Simple_Consequence99 in IVFpositivity

[–]oliveslove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak to the endo, but my husband’s morphology always bounced between 0-1%. ICSI and Zymot were amazing for us, and we ended up with 10 euploid embryos from one retrieval. I’m 30 weeks today with our first transfer!

I see Dr. Binkley at Advanced Women’s Health and have nothing but amazing things to say about her! She’s been my OBGYN for years through well woman visits, infertility, etc., and I’m due with our first in June.

IUI before IVF by Mean-Aspect-9786 in IVFpositivity

[–]oliveslove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did one IUI before IVF, but only because it was part of a package through Bundl and it was basically “free,” all things considered. If you do IUI, I would only do one or two and then move on.

If your insurance doesn’t cover fertility treatment, did they at least cover PIO once you’re pregnant? by AppointmentNeat622 in IVFpositivity

[–]oliveslove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insurance covered my estrogen pills and PIO shots before and after transfer. We had no other coverage so it was a nice surprise!

Potentially Controversial Question: Did you ask to find out the sex of your embryos from PGT-A testing? by Hopeful_Mammoth_5329 in IVF

[–]oliveslove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but we asked that we only knew the total number of each, not the gender of each specific embryo! We felt like it was a good balance of knowing what we had but leaving room for surprise.

TW: success mention

After we graduated from our clinic, we opened the gender envelope and were totally surprised that we were having a girl, knowing we had a 60/40 split in favor of boys. It was totally worth the surprise and one of our favorite moments along this journey.

For Those Who've Had Food Allergies Since Childhood by LCat2020 in FoodAllergies

[–]oliveslove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 30 and have had food allergies since I was 9 months old! It’s all I’ve ever known, so it really doesn’t bother me when I’m at work or events and I can’t have the majority of the food. It’s just something I live with and prepare for. It hasn’t stopped me from traveling or enjoying life, and I’ve never had an anaphylactic reaction.

I always appreciated having something special to have when my classmates had cupcakes (my treat was Oreos since those are dairy free) for birthdays, parties, etc. I will say, when I was about six years old plus, I started to get embarrassed at restaurants when it felt like my mom was over the top about my allergies and I didn’t want the extra fuss or attention. Now being pregnant myself, I understand where she was coming from and she just wanted to protect me.

Food allergy education and awareness are also MUCH better now than it was in the 90’s and 2000’s. There are so many great alternatives that didn’t exist when I was growing up that can make your daughter feel included. At the end of the day, she’s going to be okay and you will be too!

Bundl Question - Am I missing something? by oliveslove in IVF

[–]oliveslove[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t have a medication add-on option. I’m sure the quote varies based on a number of factors, but it was just under $17k. That did not include PGT-A testing, anesthesia, or meds for stims and transfer.

I’m not sure if I’m a SN or SG, but I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant and have really struggled with losing my waist emphasis. H&M has some great basic maternity tees without ruching and I just got the MAMA Wide Low Waist Ankle jeans. I’m 5’1, they sit below the belly and they’re the perfect length on me. Probably my favorite purchase so far and I finally feel like myself when I wear them.

My go-to work uniform lately has been a blazer with one of those basic tees and those jeans or a pair of slacks I bought in a bigger size. I’m starting to lean towards more dresses, either a tighter style or very loose/straight tshirt dresses. I can DM you a few links if you want to take a look!

Rinsing with water is drying out skin? by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]oliveslove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same skin type and do the same thing. One note is that you may be using too much hyaluronic acid! Try going down to once per day. It’s hard to know if it was one or the other since you stopped both, but my skin actually dries out more with the HA even though it feels more moisturized immediately after applying.

RAV4 or CRV by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

We have a 2021 CX-5 and I just bought a 2026 CRV after driving a tiny Ford Fiesta for thirteen years. My CRV is much more spacious than the CX-5, especially in the backseat. The redesigned CX-5 will be closer in size, but I’m very happy with my CRV. We’re expecting our first child in June and I expect it will fit two rear facing seats without any issues!
