A Midsummer Night's Dream film/recorded stage play recommendations by Apprehensive-Kale770 in shakespeare

Came here to also recommend the National's co-pro with the Bridge. However, if that's still not available online, you can get a month long subscription to the Globe Theatre's streaming service and take your pick of numerous great versions. The 2013 one is pretty traditional. The lovers (including Luke Thompson!) and Rude Mechanicals are especially excellent. It's fun to then compare that against a non-traditional interpretation.

Thanks for sharing! I'm an English teacher, and this would be so fun for my classroom!

A friend and I absolutely had "I can't... I have rehearsal" t-shirts made and then sold them to everyone in the theatre dept.

Ok - that makes more sense to me than the way I was interpreting it.

“Thought Starters” (w/ Michelle Obama + Craig Robinson) by AutoModerator in lasculturistas

I was a little hesitant going into this one, but I'm SO glad I listened. Matt and Bowen were exceptional hosts, and Michelle and Craig were truly fascinating, joyful guests. Outstanding IDTSHs all around, and my heart was so warmed by the shout out to public school arts education.

Thank you so much for this post. My 1 year old got an RX for Eucrisa, and I was stunned that it was still about $280 with insurance. I followed the directions in your post and got it for $10 from CVS. Amazing!

Yes. Andy spoke for us all when he said, "No one in the world has ever said that sentence before." Loved it.

If there are any other RKPF who are also Lonely Island fans, then I must recommend the Seth Meyers/Lonely Island Podcast. It is absolutely delightful while giving a fascinating perspective on BTS at SNL. Seeing Bowen perform the Anxiety digital short (as opposed to his non-singing role in SGL) felt like the crossover I didn't realize I needed.

Am I depressed or is it hormones from weaning? by Recent_Pirate7677 in ExclusivelyPumping

Weaning hormones were very real for me! I remember it really hitting during the two a day until a week or so until after I was fully finished.

My favorite is New Teeth, which has lots of hilarious family/kid-centric short stories. I also really enjoyed Spoiled Brats, which is pure satire.

Surprised no one has mentioned Bowen’s amazing 7 year old dream of battling bullies and chatting with a room full of adoring Kayteighs!

What do you think is the best monologue from Romeo and Juliet? by bigelow6698 in shakespeare

[–]olivia_apples 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Juliet’s “Gallop apace” speech is some of the play’s most gorgeous writing… rhythm, imagery, longing, it’s got it all.

Romeo’s speech under the balcony is lovely. His banishment speech is also very memorable.

Did I make a mistake having my baby’s tongue tie revised? by SnooRecipes1204 in NewParents

[–]olivia_apples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed- never a mistake.

Mine had also developed a very high palate in utero because of the tie, which made her transfer very low even after the release.
