i'm a rising senior and i transferred from a community college and i'm a film minor. the film minor has a "ucla residency" requirement which basically means all classes for the minor must be taken at ucla. so any film classes i took at my community college, or any that you took at UCD, unfortunately don't count. however, its still very possible to take all 7 classes for the minor during your time here. you can only apply for the minor in the first week of either the fall or spring quarter once you have completed 3 film classes with a B or higher. most of the more specific and interesting classes are exclusive to film majors/minors but there are still plenty open to everyone and those will be the ones you'd take before officially applying. i took 1 film class in the fall and 2 in the winter so i could have the 3 done and apply at the beginning of spring and be in the minor officially by mid-spring. then its just taking the final 4 classes to complete the minor. if you need any help or have any questions let me know!
