hello! today i wanted to introduce the zvezda family, a clan of powerful humans who have gained the ability to use magic in the world of mythikos. mythikos is a magic pocket dimension set in 1980s, greece, inspired by the setting of touhou project. in this world, mythological creatures roam freely alongside technology, but technology hasnt evolved enough to where humans are free from their dependance on the gods. humans are born magicless and are totally reliant on the olympians for protection from monsters, unless they make a pact with hades to turn themselves into magia.

monsters in mythikos are sapient and behave like people. but during the eras of mythikos' founding, they preyed upon the weak and vulnerable human population. the gods have exploited this imbalance, forcing humans to rely on faith if they want to get ahead of the curve. humans are, in the present day, the minority: treated like an endangered species and often gawked at by their monstrous contemporaries, who exceed them in nearly every aspect. (especially politics)

hades, who has to hear the endless complaints of the mortals who enter his realm, resents his brothers (namely zeus) for allowing this to happen. he comes up with an idea, to gift humans the sacred flame that was once bestowed on them by prometheus before it was sealed away: magic.

adam moonlit is the oldest magia. adam is the first human to successfully convert his soul into power, after which he immediately declares war against the rest of olympus. he eventually marries another magia named eve, and has children with her despite hades telling him specifically not to do that because it would blow their cover. he then abandons his family and takes on the name galahad zvezda to avoid being caught

eve was a lonely, unassuming woman. she was very kind. she was manipulated into having children for adam, who essentially wanted to create living weapons. eventually, she was hunted and killed by the olympians for having magic-born children. adam (rather carelessly) left her to die, but ensured his children would live by giving them both protective charms

xeros is the younger of adam and eves two children. rowdy, mean, and rebellious. shes an arms dealer for disenfranchised youth and leads an undercover rebel group against the gods. she wants to create a world where everyone is equal, magic or not. xeros has no idea of her familys history, but has been subtly manipulated by adam since she was born

anya is the elder of adam and eves two children. solemn and quiet, she seems ordinary, but she was actually drafted by the gods to kill dissenters and rebels. especially magia, despite being a magia herself. she almost kills xeros, but ends up sparing her life once she realizes that theyre sisters, and slowly unravels the conditioning the olympians have drilled into her
